Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 4 - 2019
CBC v Townies will be a cracker
The key players will decide the game, Salt, Holliday, Cornish, Dean for townies while CBC will look to the Johansons, Raymond’s and Greenbank if he plays. Cail Harris the Wiley old veteran will be up and about against his junior club.
Townies may just have a little bit too much firepower up Forward.

If the ATO are involved and they can't resolve it quickly they will just shut up shop

This was interesting:
AFL fees have only gone down in the 9 years I've been there. I dont think they've changed in the past 6 years.
I wonder what they owe the ATO? GST?
This was interesting:
Parks said the Chics had struggled to contend with rising electricity, Adelaide Footy League and Adelaide Turf Cricket Association fees, as well as council charges and rates.

The ATO tend to be a very very hard creditor to deal with in the sense that they are about as flexible as an iron bar and frustratingly uncommercial.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, genuinely interested, what would they be required to pay GST on?

As a gross over simplification they need to send the GST they collect on drinks etc. sold to the ATO.

As a slightly more complicated version:
KFC buys 10 beers from dan murphys for $40 plus $4 GST
KFC sells 10 beers at its bar for $60 plus $6 gst.
The extra $2 gst they have collected needs to be sent to the ATO.

How many people are going to read this and see past KFC selling beers?

This is the second time in a few years this has happened. Poor management?

When was the 1st time? If you're referring to 2014 dont think that had anything to do with their financial situation.

I see you are reminiscing about the Armenians
Yep fees dropped by 20% over two years in 2011/12 and have remained the same since, also they hadn't increased since the mid 2000's

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 4 - 2019
CBC show today why they walked through div 5 last year. When the whips are cracking they are as good div 4-5 side as I’ve ever seen. Will be interesting to see what they do next week.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Was just thinking about CBC the other days, the calls pre season about how good they were and how everyone was saying you (and others) over rated them and that Salis & Eastern Pk would walk through D5 this year etc.
Don’t think people realise just how seriously good CBC were last year.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 4 - 2019
Top end div 5 last year was better than the norm. I’m not shocked to see both teams from last year in the div 4 finals this year and Woody South are without their most influential player this year. I have absolutely no doubt CBC would have won div 4 last year with the side they had that won the div 5 premiership.
