An easier run?
Our Ressies would give the league side a decent run currently:(

Re: Norwood V South
It's true that in the run home we score the bottom 3 clubs, whose only collective victory all season against a top 7 club was a solitary one by West vs a very out-of-form Eagles team back in round 4. The problem is that given Norwood's performances over the last month+, you'd back at least one of those clubs to add to that tally against us.
But the bottom-3 matchups mean that—even though on form anyone would be wise to write off Norwood from making the finals now—we are still some kind of chance of playing finals if we beat South this weekend. Our other remaining non-bottom-3 match vs Sturt at Unley is only going to end badly. And given the heat in the top 7 for finals spots and our terrible percentage, I think that 10 wins won't even be close to enough to get Norwood in the top 5. So this is the last hurrah.

Schwarz out for 4 weeks with a broken hand, poor bloke is so injury prone! Season on the line for both teams. I’m saying South Adelaide by 3 goals.

Re: Norwood V South
South with another debutant, Reece Milsom, 18yo from Flagstaff Hill FC.
Fitt and Bogle added to the extended bench, while Schwarz will miss a month as indicated above. Whilst he hasn't had the same impact as his rookie season, I'd like to see Fitt play.
Not confident.

Season defining game. Season over with a loss.
Some players need some form back.

Scoreboard flattered South IMO, we absolutely pumped them. We were quite wasteful and overused the handball again (what a shock) in the first half but when we tidied that up we started scoring freely. We were pretty from about the 10 minute mark of the second quarter but South also were quite poor and had too few contributors. Would think that 7 or 8 of the best 10 players on the ground were Norwood players

Re: Norwood V South
South were that bad. Still in the game at 3/4 time...only 9pts down...lost by 8 goals...worst quarter of footy Ive seen from us since the Fuller days.
Interesting incident that I havent seen in a game previously... South player kicking in from a point tackled from behind while still in the defensive goalsquare., had not played on , umpire had not called play on ...poor kick under pressure.. turnover and goal..

Re: Norwood V South
South Adelaide should’ve been up by 3/4 goals at quarter time but were woeful in front of goal. From there it was all Norwood.
Sam Baulderstone was best on, putting on an absolute clinic. Nunn was brilliant and Dylan Stephens showed why he will be snapped up early in the draft.

Re: Norwood V South
Insipid, embarrassing and disgraceful effort in the last quarter.
7 points in it at 3/4 time to lose by 45 points.
Once again our side bringing a team on a slump back into form. (Refer to Eagles and Sturt games this year)
We were poor throughout the game except for maybe a quarter and a half.
Some players way out of form and need a rest in the 2s. I could name 6 or 7 non contributors today. Can’t win games with a handful of players putting in and having a genuine desire to win - Rose, Davis and probably Heaslip only ones who could say “I gave my all today”.
Season over and now to book a holiday in for September.
Once again ... “there is always next year”.
Bloody disappointed tonight ! South again breaking my heart again ....

Wouldn't write the season off yet mate. South need someone to turn there culture around. It happens year after year. South accept average . With a growing young population there , surely the club gets aggressive to attract a winning culture which would bring people .

You could have written this same post most years for the last 80 years, (except for mid 60s and maybe 1979, and a few night competitions in the 80s)

Weird statement. To create a winning culture you have to be winning. Do you not think they go out not trying to win?
I think South are good enough to play finals.

Even I was bemused by that decision. I would even go far as to say it was an incorrect decision. With the new kicking back into play after a behind rule the umpire should not call play on until the player has kicked the ball. Under the new rule, the player kicking back into play doesn't have to kick to themselves any more.
