I think North are saying that after this year Perrie won't be around so why bother playing him now?

I would play him, don't worry about next year North should be putting their best 22 on the park to win this years flag! and Perrie has to be in their best 22 you would assume. Interesting call by the club imagine the outcry by their supporters if North don’t make the grand final.

He may well be in the best 22 but seeing as you can only pick 21 in the SANFL he misses out.

I would play him at Centre Half Forward and tell him to Kick 10 goals......

If Jars leaves out Ian Perrie,

He shouldn't coach in 2008.....

Just curious for those who would play him exactly what their forward line set up would look like and which fully fit and enthusiastic player they would leave out for the physically and mentally spent Ian Perrie. Just remember Wundke and Alleway are imperative to our setup, Gill is a superstar and Damon White is a class ahead of Perrie.
Anyone that has seen a majority of North games this year including all the games with Perrie in it wouldn't even consider him.

No, I disagree Dog_ger, if you say someone should play someone who's mentally and physically fit and doesn't fit into our structure in exchange for someone's who fit and enthusiastic and does fit into our team structure it is your responsibility to follow that through and back it up with exactly how the forward structure should look and who should be left out.
If you can't then you should STFU or you'll just look like a complete tool.

Its a simple question Dog_ger.
You think a physically and mentally spent player who traditionally doesn't perform well for North (or North perform well while he's there) should play a final at the expense of a player who does perform for us on a consistent basis and is fit and raring to go.

Who should go Dog_ger?

Or have you put absolutely no thought into your point?

It's not hard Dog_ger. FFS.

Might have hit the nail on the head there Wedgie,'enthusiastic',if rumours are correct then Perrie would be less than motivated about his football career ATM.

At face value, you think some one of his ilk would be wanted by any SANFL club come September, but as you stated,Ladhams,White,Gill and Alleway fill you forward line, and throw in the midfield rotations and there is no room for Perrie.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Ian Perrie has to play in the forward line if picked. He is no good anywhere else. He is not a better player than Gill, White, Alleway or Wundke. The most important thing though is that Ian Perrie does not feel he can give his all at the moment to the NAFC. He is physically and more importantly mentally spent. This is the reason why this decision has been made. If Ian Perrie wanted to play he would but he realises that the best decision for both the NAFC and for himself is to take a break. He deserves a lot of credit for what he has done here.

From my point of view if he is not in the AFL next year i'd hope North does what it can to secure his services for 2008.

Well that's what anyone who has any understanding of a forward structure would think Booney, agreed.

As far as blokes over 6 foot in our forward line:
Alleway has been our 2nd best player this year
Gill is a superstar
Damon White is so much a better player than Perrie its not funny
Wundke averages 4 goals a game for us and straightens us up and always stands up when the game is there to be won.

To fit a spent Perrie into our side who sometimes struggles to get a touch when he's not spent we'd have to drop one of those players or play with 5 key forwards all over 6 foot.

Its a no brainer even for a moron.

No person that has seen North play for most of the season would even consider it.

Well that just goes to show how well you've studied the situation before making a comment.
FFS

I'll bet you one thousand dollars or a bet of the winner never posting on this site ever again that Perrie will not be playing for North this Sunday. Preferably both.
