Looking forward to this game...South are a bit enigmatic atm, their worst is just plain awful but their best is scintillating, and we usually see both during the course of a match, or even a quarter. Thankfully sanity prevailed and Cross and Liddle weren't involved in the state match yesterday as neither was fit. I wonder who will be tasked with tagging Cross ?- a player or one of the coaching staff -like the last time we played North..............? South by 4 pts.

North are expected to get up to 9 players back from injury this week. Of course not all will play league. Premiership players such as Thring, Clisby and Castree should improve North but will they need the run?

Are North good enough to beat South anyway? They couldn't last year in the minor round and the scoreboard certainly flattered North in the Elimination Final last year, a game that could have gone either way.

South's best is wonderful to watch - fast, smooth and great skills.

Our worst is comical to watch - indecisive, not direct and quite soft.

This year I have seen our best and our worst. South seem to have 2 personalities this year - the good and bad.
We have never played a full game of great footy. 10 minutes of poor footy can ruin us (refer to Glenelg game this year!)

I am sure the North players (and other staff ? ) will come out like they did in the Elimination final - play the man and try their best to throw us off our game.

Still, reckon we can win by 4 goals.
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Haren out, broken leg 6-8 weeks. Irra also out injured,

i think the u/18 ruckman Freitag will play and Hayden Sampson.

In other news, Connor Fairlie has left to rejoin West.

South have also signed James Lonergan from the crows.

Hopefully South can get the win but I'm not very confident. I'm making the trek out to Prospect with my Dad (a North supporter) so if any one sees a fat guy with a scraggy beard decked out in South gear with an old man in red and white that's us!

Doesn't narrow it down too much I'm afraid...

Solid win. Looked in control for most the match.

Best named by the club: Liddle, Summerton, Overall, Emery (4.5), Knoll and Haines.

It was a hard fought game with plenty of skill errors but the Panthers were just a bit cleaner using the ball. North came out with a lot of intent early on and Max Thring was getting into it before the bounce as he seemed to be shoving every South player in the centre square. South’s second and third quarters were very good and did enough to get a tough win against a team playing for their season. I thought Liddle, Cross, Haines, Knoll, Noble and Emery were excellent and Summerton and Crabb very solid down back. Cam McGree tried hard in his debut and looks to have some promise to replace Knoll when he gets .......drafted..... in the middle of the season..... :(
