Wonder how the boys felt singing the Adelaide song to celebrate?

Not good but is it an improvement on when the SANFL state team beat Victoria in Victoria a few years ago and the Chairman of Selectors, S Rowe, got the team to sing "It's a Grand Old Flag". His rationale was that it is used by two SANFL clubs, but then again Central and West both sing the same song to the other George M Cohan tune "Yankee Doodle Dandy".

It is surprising that South Australia doesn't have a song to sing. Victoria always had their team song. Maybe some wordsmith could play around with the words to the old song "Bound for South Australia" and come up with something for the SANFL team to sing. It could then be used for the Under 16s and Under 18s as well.

Interestingly in the last 10 years or so North Melbourne has commandeered the Victorian state team's song which starts "Out they come".

Officially North Melbourne's song is only the "Join in the Chorus" part of the song.

Michael Knoll the only recognised ruckman in the squad.

Wasn't even playing footy 3-4 years ago and now in a State squad.

I will tip he won't play.

Need to select 40 to allow for the 10 or so who will pull or be pulled out.

Need to change my tip.

Fos Williams Medalist, now :)

Turned out to be a pretty good decision to pick the Fos Williams Medalist !!!

Did the state team actually sing "we're the pride of South Australia we're the mighty Adelaide crows"?
Impossible for that to be an improvement on anything.
At least "Grand Old flag" doesn't mention any teams name, and you can adjust the colours to suit.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
