Re: 2019 SANFL State Squad
I wonder why no Sam Baulderstone or Alex Barns?
Michael Knoll the only recognised ruckman in the squad.
Wasn't even playing footy 3-4 years ago and now in a State squad.

Barns ? Many in front of him . Baulderstone might be OK on a small ground but no chance on a big one.
A couple from Norwood and Glenelg would be unlucky and Overall from South .

I will tip he won't play.
Need to select 40 to allow for the 10 or so who will pull or be pulled out.

Hopefully the Dogs lads get 'niggles' that prevent them playing. Grassy Knoll showed a bit in the game I saw him play against the Bays but wouldn't have thought he'd progressed that well.

It looks a good squad but there’s plenty of old heads in there.
Surely it’s better to give a few of the younger lads a go at state level.
I’ve never been one for gifting someone a state guernsey but times have changed and we need to keep the young guys interested in playing at this level.

There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Madness that Baulderstone isn't there, he's head and shoulders above all other rucks in the comp now Fort and Brooksby are no longer with us. Knoll probably the next best option but he's been well beaten at times this year.
And Lewis Johnston unless injured would consider himself pretty damn stiff.
Otherwise not too bad, good midfield depth which we usually have but perhaps lacking big firepower up front

Central have this on their website :
On behalf of the Central District Football Club, we would like to congratulate the following players who were named as part of the initial 36 player squad for the Under 18 state team.
Jack Carpenter (Barossa District), Jordan O’Brien (Salisbury North), Corey Durdin (Golden Grove), Oliver Shaw (Tea Tree Gully).
The Australian Football League U18 National Championships commences on the 15th June and concludes on the 3rd July.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Yeah I saw that when I was looking. We (Rosewater) apparently have a lad in it - Josh Morris. Just wanted to see whole squad.

No 19 for North had to be a walk up start!

Re: 2019 SANFL State Squad
I am interested, although the lack of TV coverage and status as an AFL curtain raiser puts a bit of a dampener on it.

^ this.
Watching the stream now. Massive empty stadium not a good look.
What's up with displaying the scores as points-behinds-goals? Weird cats these sandgropers.
