Can't see North getting within Cooee, even further if Perrie gets the all clear ;)

I dont think Rugulo will play. He was good in the reserves with 8 goals, but remember when Passador kicked 8 one week in the ressies and couldnt get back untill salter got injured.
Rugulo seems to be out of favour at woodville oval recently

Mc gregor will play and take norths best defender which will help Salter, Grocke and Schwartz.
I think the eagles need a small forward crumber. Perhaps Fitzgerald in the pocket would be a good choice.

Sam Daveron is a very good player, not sure if he is going to get a league game just yet but will play plenty. He is a super talent and could well get drafted.

I guess with McGregor going in someone will drop out, but who?
what other changes will the eagles make?

The reserves played their best game for the year by beating top side Glenelg easily so there are a lot of players in good form.

Inkster and Colville might be available too

If it was Inkster of old I'd suggest him to play in a forward pocket

This is how I'd line up on Sunday:

F: Lomas Schwarze Salter
HF: Petrenko Grocke Vince
C: Treeby Cicolella Jarrad
HB: J Stewart McGregor/Gill McKenzie/Perrie
B: P Fiacchi Pedler/White or Wundke Hier/Alleway
R: Dabrowski Powell Cooper
I: Lindsay Symmons Fairclough

Passador, Inkster and Colville I have not picked because I don't expect them to be right. Rugolo would be very close to replacing one of Stewart, Petrenko or Symmons in the side. I have made a straight swap of McGregor for Redden as not only do they have very similar hair, but North's tall timber will require someone taller than Redden.

Bzzz - wrong the highlighted players are "ours" in case you missed it! How much of an advantage do you want with 26 on the team list and 24 on the field to start with?

Who do we get from you lot - Freddy Bills, Lindsay Head, Ralphy Sewer??

We could give you Luke Toia? If only the North tall timber were playing against North on Saturday!

North fans, who will Jarman go with? He won't play all of Perrie, Alleway, Gill, Wundke and White will he? Might he use White at CHB and drop Coulter? I wouldn't be surprised if Perrie doesn't play. I would want Wundke to play if I was a North supporter.

Too bloody right we want Wundke to play. Damon White is a class act at SANFL level and always puts in for North. Perrie tries hard too but i just can't see him fitting into our best 21. Too many talls for our forward line. He could be handy in the 2's though. Realistically it won't happen and Perrie will play 1's but if it is at the expense of Wundke North will not be playing it's strongest side and that is a disgrace.

I think it will be Wundke and Perrie in the full forward line with Damon White at CHF. Gill will play off the wing and Alleway at CHB.

Perrie could also start as 2nd ruck but I would think that role will go to Schubert, who under no circumstances should be dropped too handy to use as a defneder or ruckman. Gilly would also be a very good changing ruckman and during 2005 played a fair bit in that role. He runs all day plus his overhead marking is bonus either fwd or back of the play. Really the one who should miss out is Perrie if we look like being too top heavy but will he miss out?

Personally, despite the freakish comeback last week I am not convinced we can take the flag.I have seen us cut to shreds too often this season . Leading twice against Centrals at half time and got smashed.Hammered by the bays twice.Carved up by Sturt at Unley and the 1st half last week.1 quarter against the Eagles at Woodville also when we were at the mercy of the opposition.I pray that I am wrong and will be hollarin' for the boys mind you but we have been brushed aside too easliy too often for me to have the house on us.

I'd agree with that. Wundke has to play, he makes a huge difference.

I agree with alot of what you wrote R&W. The comeback Friday night masked the fact that with a near full strength side we trailed by 50 points against a severely undermanned Sturt side and we probably should not have been able to get back in the game - no matter how great the finish was.

The big unknown or test is to see if North can play 4 quarters of solid consistent Football this week and beyond. I can't see the Eagles, Centrals Bays or even Sturt giving up any sort of lead from 5 to 8 goals during the finals. Let's hope our players have learnt something otherwise it could be straight sets and a 4th place finish and everyone knows my thoughts on that!

Media Release - Ian Perrie
No Perrie for the finals

North Adelaide Football Club advises members that it will not be utilising the services of Ian Perrie for the 2007 SANFL Finals series.

The decision has been made on the basis of team balance and the Club's future direction. All parties discussed the matter and reached agreement with the decision.

Ian has understood the need for the NAFC to encourage youth and build their finals experience. Ian understands the development of our younger players is very important to the future of NAFC, and has put the Club first and allowed the NAFC to foster youth.

Ian however, has made it clear if an injury were to arise, he would be more than happy to play for the Roosters during the Finals!

The ongoing commitment of Ian to the NAFC is greatly appreciated by the NAFC and his selfless decision to put younger players ahead of himself typifies both Ian and the senior playing list.

The Adelaide Football Club has been notified of this decision, and we acknowledge their understanding regarding this matter.
