Yeah he was my biggest bet for the day and I'd gone Place heavy, so 3rd would have been just fine. Encouraging return though LM, will continue to follow with interest

Good first up run, fought on well

Missed race, just saw result....is there a worse feeling??
$41 started $16 and runs 4th :(

Simple answer, no.

The boy is still learning, there were other horses in the race that have far more experience and have ran in higher grades.

He'll be better for the run, his first trip over the 1300 too, it was a $100K race so it was always going to be a very competitive race, even a place would've been a nice return though.
As JK did I went place heavy also.
I didnt see the race, I was in bushes looking for balls....

4th is a good result 1st up for the prep, but no good for us mugs, we won't see those juicy odds for a while[emoji22]

We may, he's being prepped for a 1600m Guinea's race in May, it's a $150K race, pretty rare in SA.

I do wonder how he'd go in a mid-weeker.

I advise watching the replay its 7th is seeing is believing

Pick 4 Ubet
8-13-4-5 paid $4997.40[5 Curdled officially 4th]
8-13-4-15 should have been the numbers [with 15 Cool Draft 4th]

What the ....
Cool Draft did not run 7th it was a fast finishing 4th
4th number was incorrect

My monumental f-up for the year was with a pick 4 Saturday.

Said to my brother on the way to the races "I'm gonna win big today, the numbers 10 to 14 keep popping up in my head".

Went to the races, waited around too long for our ride and I was getting a bit antsy, get to the pub finally and someone is sitting in my seat and I'm getting a bit more agitated, filled out a heap of tickets to get me through for a while.

Race 10 in Randy, 12,14,13,11 First 4 paid $65,530............................my ticket, 9,10,11,12,13 boxed. I was very broken, I only put $10 but was 8%.

I had a couple of little wins but it was a long trip home hating myself.

Would think CASTELVECCHIO is the one to beat in the upcoming Champagne. Is an exciting race horse imho.

Would have to be considered for the Cox Plate given the impending retirement of you know who and the fact it will be carrying about 48 kilos although there would be other now 2yo's that would also be in contention

Trainer said he has pulled up very well and will be having a crack at 1600 Saturday week in one of two races he's nominating for, one he should win and the other is an open race that he'll learn more from, then the Guinea's two weeks after that.

He also felt that he wasted too much petrol trying too hard to get across too early on Saturday, a more conservative start would've benefited his home stretch, plenty to like though, he's only had 4 starts after all.

I'll watch Winx cross the line and leave for the footy before Waller cries, Bowman rabbit's on and Kepitis gets her mug on my TV.

Waller, HTFU mate, there's no surprise she's won, you can cry if she loses one!

Bowman, thank christ this is the last time we have to see his Mrs and listen to her accent while she's hugging him and crying as he goes into a 15 minute blabber about the great mare.

Kepitis, please, young Ms Ingham just makes her purse heavier.

Winx is a champion and $2 is money for jam. ;)

Saw her run at a Flemington once... super impressive. She won by 8 lengths pulling away and Bowman didn’t even consider pulling the whip.
