So Tiger does it, and its everywhere. Its a shame the TV crews didnt make it to Aston Hills in time to see CM buried in the bush, much worse than this and make Par!Image

While I was happy to knock it out of there, I think it was a bogey.

So after thursday, traded out the newish clubs for my originals that are 20yrs old.
Struck the ball ok, nothing really horrendous but just couldnt score....
So we ended up with 9. 2 pars and birdie for the 2s comp, so walked away with 2 balls!

It’s always a relief to walk away with 2 balls!

1st hit back after a month and first round after my driving lessons and wow did it show!

24 points and had a 10 on our par 4 index 9 6th hole  yep a 10.

The only positive is there are certainly signs the driving lessons are helping, complete overhaul of my swing he did tell me I’d go backwards before going forward.

The only good thing is I can take out half my clubs next time i play there, and just use mainly putter as the balls just run for miles

Played at Links Lady Bay in preparation for the Golf HQ armbrose comp on the Sunday, Started on fire Parred the first 3 Holes in a row, on the 3rd in to a strong breeze Drove up the middle went to lay up with a 5 Iron but didnt hit it well at all, still left me 130-140 out in to the breeze went 5 Iron again and put in with a meter only to miss the Birdie putt

Played another cracker on the 7th- 5 wood from 170ish landed on the Green and plugged nicely, made birdie

Went out with 40 off the stick very happy but thats were it ended. Come in with 52 off the stick

Sunday 07-04

Golf HQ- 2 person Armbrose day
Step father and i were off 12

Got there for the morning BBQ, briefing and watched these guys warm up and it was abundantly clear to me that there were some serious golfers in this comp but i had a look at the handicaps and thought how windy it was yesterday they have no margin for error at all and we had the 12 up our sleeve so we'll see how it pans out.

Shot gun start, we were off the 6th, not ideal starting off a Par 3 where we dont get a shot in my opinion, but we walked off with a 3 for 2 happy enough with that, on to the 7th Nailed my drive and put me almost a mirror image of my shot on the Saturday but totally differant result, straigh in the water, step dad laid up left of the water and we walked off with a 5 for 3. Pretty much played Boggy golf from that point on Front 9 finished on the 14th.

Back 9 started on the 15th- 4 for 3 great start, 16th 2 for 3 yep were on here, Then a crash back to earth with a 5 for 1 on the par 3 17th and in hind sight that cost us a spot in the prizes pretty much Boggy golf from there with a couple of Pars and a nice Birdie on 4.

6th to 14th- 21 Points
15th to 5th- 20 Points

41 Points in total.

Winners had 46 Points, 3 way tie for 2nd with 44 Points.

Great day tho, if Golf HQ run anymore days like that i'll be sure to be involved.

Well done, but it seems In Masters week we saw a Shark meltdown!!!
The planets didnt align for me to go in it.
I know they struggled with numbers, but hopefully they do another one.

Into the water off the tee on the 7th? That's a massive hit  wind assisted?

I put money on that it wasnt wind assisted

So had a week off last week and been out of action with a throat infection, so expectations were low.

Only took a 3w, hybrid, 6i,8i,pw,56 and the putter. Didnt wanna damage too many out there, rock hard!

So overall it was ok, had a few birdie chances that went begging.

My natural draw shape that had turned into straight shots had returned, bit of warning beforehand wouldve been handy though!

Ended up 33 points and 2 poor scrubs that should never have happened.

Played Flaggy, fairways are basically dead as they pour all available water into the greens, the dam is as low as Ive ever seen it. The greens are in great nick though. The bloody fake rubber snakes on the greens to keep the ducks off them scared the absolutely shit outta me until I realised they were fake
