Cmon mate, you've got more than that for us?

Or do you think the Catters have done enough talking for you today?

Very impressive.

Boo ******* hoo. You took too long with the ball and got caught holding it. You played from behind and gave away the free kicks. You played the man and paid the price. A couple were dodgy but that post is just a dead set whinge.

What carp. Geelong have been centering the ball all season as has Dog. Dog actually has been given the go ahead to back his instincts. My vote goes to Danielle Pearce. Watch the Weagles replay and you'll see what I mean. I thought I was watching Tony McGuiness there at one stage.

Maybe he (Danyle) also has been told to 'back his instincts',with his decisions not paying off at the time?

Lets try to keep the thread on topic.

a 106pt loss isnt acceptable but Craig as i mentioned in the other post has completely bluffed the members and supporters, board members at AFC and as a result is suffering from that.

Laidley on the other-hand is doing things that Craigy said he was going to do.

a 106 pt loss isnt acceptable but comparing the Roos to the Crows, id rather be with Dutchy and the ROos in the next few years

How ridiculous - experienced SAFooty poster coming out with biased tripe like that

A 3 point loss to the Hawks and Craigy is bluffing all of us - 106 point loss and Laidley is right on top of things  Be consistent FFS

Won't get stuck in to the Roos because his mate barracks for them

Crows are an easy target clearly

No bragging from me today as we haven't won the premiership have we? Still, I was in awe of the way we dispatched a team that I thought had the personnel to really worry us, especially with their talls in the foward line the week after we lost Matty Egan.

REB's comments

Umpiring: Rubbish. As several have said, let the players play. They are getting worse by the week. A couple of decisions had to be seen to be believed and it was the Roos who seemed to cop most of these.

All Australian?: Hamish McIntosh lost the AA Ruck spot today. Like I said earlier in the week Otttens>McIntosh and he proved that today with 2 goals and 26 hitouts. Everyone has nominated their most important Cat but not many have said Ottens. He is the key. Nice goal by young Hamish in the first term though.

Midfield: James Kelly and Joel Selwood had a huge match today and why wouldn't they when you have to have to keep an eye on Ablett, Corey, Ling and Bartel. Our midfield will not really be rated unless we can bring home the cup.

The Ling Thing: Fantastic work by Bomber to put him on Boomer Harvey. I nominated this as the likely match up on another site (AFL Online) as Boomer's possessions always hurt the opposition more than Simpson. Bomber put Ling on Simpson to prove a point last time and it would have thrown Laidley to see his gun midfielder cut down by the mighty Ling Thing. It was almost a reverse tag...maybe Laidley had actually read Phatprik Smith's rubbish and told Boomer not to run into the half back line. OK, maybe not but the Roos looked decidedly reactive in regards to this match up in particular.

TACKLE. BALL!!!: Fantastic tackling by the Cats today. They had the Roos second guessing themselves all day long. That was the real reason behind the lopsided count. There just wasn't any space available to Roos players.

Nate, at Last!: I'm always happy to have Nathan Ablett in the side even though his stats are less than impressive. He always hauls down big marks when needed but today was the day he finally bobbed up with a few goals. When everyone is worried about Mooney, Ottens, Chapman and Johnson, this makes life a bit easier for guys like Nathan Ablett, Stokes and Byrnes.

DEEEEEEEEFENCE: The midfield and ruck dominance made the day a lot easier for the back half for the Cats but Harely, Milburn, Scarlett and surprisingly Hunt won the day when the ball did go down there. Hopefully Egan can return but we showed today that the loss of Egan is not the body blow that some have painted it to be.

Well, I have had a few so that's all from REB. And dont' worry about the Roos, they will beat Hawthorn next week.

regards,

REB

Wow

Geelong were brilliant today, Kangaroos on the other hand were terrible, they had no forward structure, they were slow, not clean, and played from behind.

Geelong realised Archer is a liability down back, and exposed him perfectly.

Cant see anyone beating Gelong this year now unfortunately, and maybe a straight sets exit for the Roos?

Gary Ablett was brilliant again, as was Cameron Ling.

Selwood's first final performance was fantastic

Selwood's first year of league footy has been every bit as good as Judd's first year

Even though the Cats claimed him at #7, he is clearly the pick of the 2006 draft, and Carlton, Essendon, Kanga's, Lions, Power and the Hawks have all lost a gem

Especially the bombers, given this club lacks a quality midfielder, passing on Selwood with their 2nd pick and opting for a tall is very confusing

the Kid is a Gun and will win a Brownlow one day

Hmmm had a chance to calm down but still havent....a few points -

> Laidley is coaching for his contract next week, a win and no less otherwise out...some terrible match ups today...we havent won a final under Laidley
> Brown and Sansbury should never play for us again, Ive been saying it all year, and to have Thomas and Campbell in the 2's
> Thought we got a raw deal by the umps but you make your own luck and Geelong put all the pressure on us and the Umps
> Playing the last 4 on the DOOM has had an effect they wernt running hard like they have done all year, also last two games against insiped opposition probably didnt adequately prepare us for the tornado today
> Geelong are the best team Ive seen since the '01, '02, '03 Brisbane outfit
> They have the best back six in the business, full stop, thats where all their attacks come from like any good premiership side
> Geelong simply win the flag at the $1.80 on offer Im deciding how much of my bank roll goes on them!

Im off to find that 99 GF DVD to try and remember how to smile again.... :Hangman: :Hangman: :Hangman: :Hangman:
