It's just come to my attention that one of our staff members who had been off sick last week (and is still absent), hasn't been heard from in several days. Apparently we've tried calling and emailing him but have had no answer or reply. Same with his listed Emergency Contact (his sister).
He's a pretty well-adjusted 52 year old bloke who doesn't seem the type to go on a week-long bender or find another job and cut us off, so we're pretty worried about him. Whats the best way to play this - Should I take a drive out to his house? Do I need to contact the Police? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
JK

Not great news at all, but he's getting whatever care he needs now.
Good on you for checking in mate.

In good hands hopefully.
Begs the question how can people have no contact with anyone and no one knows?
It’s sad but you hear about it all the time.

Easily, I'm more than happy to shut down for a bit and talk to no one, some people can, some can't.
I enjoyed being single for that reason, if my kids were away no one would bother me at all.

I’d get bored talking too myself and sick of my own company pretty quickly
