Ingle Farm v Para hills next week is huge. Winner guaranteed finals.
Pooraka draw hurts them, considering they had Goodwood in real trouble. I thought Goodwood had covers?
Serious work by Jarrad Taylor at Flinders Park 100no and 10/42 as they crush Pooraka and pick up a massive outright points.
Woody South knock over Fulham without Woody Souths two best players playing.Fulham have Marion and GG coming up, drop both of them and they are a serious chance of missing out. The T20 debarcle could have derailed their momentum.
Reynella v Woody South next week is huge.
Woody Rech will have their chance to get maximum points with Pooraka and Heccies coming up, but will need to win both of them outright to stay alive.

TOS win sits them nicely in second with Heccies next week. If they get max points the Marion game becomes massive

A2 top two home finals are pretty much locked I reckon with Marion & TOS.
Points should be roughly this:
3rd Fulham - 110 - bad day, looks like they missed a couple of blokes
4th / 5th Flinders Park & Wood South - 92 - (WS have reynella, unley and TOS & FP have Unley, Rocs & Heccies) FP will be up and about and that sort of cricket is what we all know they are capable of if they get it right. Having their best player back is huge and they have a great run home. Old man crawf getting a trundle too. Wood South would be incredibly happy to win without Hoffman & Johsnon, gives them a real crack at finals if they're good enough.
6th Golden Grove (will be spewing they couldn't get on to finish off Reynella) - 91
7th - Reynella - 90 - cooked I reckon.
8th - Wood Rect - 82 - will need to win all three and a couple outright and other games go their way. Behrendt back in knick and getting something from their kids which they haven't got much from this year. Would be reasonably happy to get that close..
It's tight... Gonna be a corker last couple of weeks.

Are Marion the far ahead of teams that much? They seem to bowl teams out easily first innings. Rocs aren’t a batting team to be bowled out for 50.
Would love some insight from someone whose played them and have also played tos and Fulham.

Goodwood has covers and didn’t put them on. Pooraka protesting the result?

Did hear they were not happy. Drops them out of the 4 with 2 to play. But given they don't have covers at their home ground don't see what the problem is....helicopterking wrote:Goodwood v Pooraka had the result down as a Draw, the scores have now been removed.

Goodwood only have a single pitch cover this year due to rats getting to the square cover in the off season. Rained very heavily Saturday morning and Goodwood's 2nd and 3rd ovals a short drive away with no covers didn't get on either.Trader wrote:After the carry on from Pooraka that was reported at last year's Semi Final, I think its kind of funny that they copped a wash out this week.

That said, if Goodwood didn't put the covers on, then that's fairly poor form and they rightly should lose the game.
I know a number of games without covers not only played, but started on time. I would have thought without covers Goodwood Oval would have still played, as such, I had assumed they put the covers on and that lead to another issue (ie: leaking in a concentrated spot, or excessively wet run-ups where the covers had drained to).

A couple of games still with no results in, but of the ones that are (including Pooraka and Goodwood), 57 games played on the weekend and 11 didn't.
The vast majority of those 57 who did play, didn't have covers.

It absolutely pissed down three times in the morning at Argana Park, so much so that I made alternative plans for the afternoon as I had to head to Prince Alfred College for my son's match, we got there and the weather was fine, the pitch was slightly sticky but played true after about half an hour, the main oval was in use at around 12:20 when we arrived.
It had apparently had some heavy downpours in Kensington during the morning also.

Yeah Kent Town recorded the highest rainfall that morning of all Adelaide stations. 4.2mm and they played at all grounds in the area, park 9, 10, 15, PAC, etc.
