They’ve struggled for so long now there’s no attraction to go out there when there’s Woodville & Torrens just down the road, their only help to be more competitive is to get rid of whites in the 16’s at least.
Not enough kids playing cricket in their area
Only one turf club and one hard wicket club down there and I don't think either are particularly strong for juniors. Not like clubs like Brighton, Walkerville or Unley who have junior teams coming out of their ears and the nearby grade clubs can draw from them.
Don't think many schools play either.
Doesn't matter (much) what Port does at their club for the kids. Just don't have the talent or the numbers coming through the door. Other clubs turn away dozens of kids and have to run trials.
