If a team scores a field goal on the first drive of OT the other team gets the ball back and an opportunity to tie the game again or end the game with a TD.
If the team scores a TD or get a safety (QB tackled in own touchback zone) on the first drive of OT the game is over.
If the team who starts with the ball in OT doesn't score with the first drive then its next score wins
There you go Dutch

Sorry should have been more specific, I understand the rules as they are now, I just don't understand how they got to the point that they think it is fair! e.g. Pats win toss score touchdown and are off to the superbowl without KC touching the ball.

It used to be that both teams for a shot, same as NCAA rules. Don't know why they changed it.

I thought the old rules were first score wins no matter what?

Maybe that was the case at some point, but there has been a time when both teams got an offensive drive.
EDIT - Im thinking college. They changed it from the any score wins in 2012.

Yeh they changed to the new OT system a couple years back from first scores wins.
FWIW. Let them slug it out for another 10 minutes regardless if teams scores TD or not

Had the opportunity to attend a "beers and boobs" Superbowl show today, but instead elected to work. Each photo coming through reminds me of my stupidity. Why do I make such poor decisions?

Was/is there a baseball club involved perhaps?

Because you have far too much respect than to look at "somebodies daughter's" boobs while drinking on a Monday.

Re: Things that you don't understand
The 500 have moved the concerts from the CBC main oval to in front of the old Victoria Park Grandstand, WTF have they done that for?
60,000 was uncomfortable and almost unsafe on the expanses of the main oval and surrounds, now there's two foot bridges to get in and out and it's right down Fullarton Road end of the track, how the **** are people getting home from there?
