Cant have an opinion?

I defy anyone to say that it was a real good game of quality footy and one where the premiership side played...its a great result for that side of the draw simpley because there are now no trips to Perth

I would honestly like opinions of the game, maybe I was wrong and it was premiership football?

Too be honest i cant see and Port winning the flag the way they played last night. i think WCE are gone, may even make it a straight sets exit

I wasn't there (touch too far to travel from London + there's no Footy Express) but as if whichever team you follow doesn't have supporters that would have done the same. A mate said all they were saying was along the lines of "go pop a pill..."

Cousins has unfortunately bought those reactions on himself.

Port won and beat the reigning premiers. That's all they had to do. It doesn't matter how they played. They'd have a different plan for each side. Finals footy is always miles different to the season proper. All you have to do is win, whether it be ugly or a thing of beauty. If we win the flag playing an ugly scragging type of game, I'll be just as happy as if we play the perfect game....whatever the hell that is!

Good, tight, hard, premiership football. Lots of errors because it was tight and hard. Expect more of the same from matches involving WCE, Sydney, Adelaide.

I thought they waited until the GRAND Final to decide who wins the flag?

The Cats GF record weighs large IMO. It's a baboon on their backs IMO an the weight of expectation from comments such as the above turns that baboon into a monster gorilla.

Clever joke REB, some people probably think you are serious! Neither of Sunday's teams will win the flag.

Eagles are gone

like the Crows last year, the Eagles have injuries to key players at the wrong time, Cousin's (Gone), Kerr (Unlikely) and Judd on one leg

If the crows win today, the draw could very well open up for them, I am not convinced that the Power would want a Crows Prelim match up

Yes REB,I was there.

As for Judd, twice he had s set shot lined up from 40-45 and handed off both times as clearly kicking is his problem, not running. As demonstrated by his two 3rd quarter goals.

Dutchy,I am beginning to tire in your distinct lack of acknowledgment in Port Adelaides season. At no time have you given them any credit, and your comments in this thread seem to put forward the claim any one coming here to play us in a Prelim would not be worried.

We have beaten WCE twice this year,Geelong two weeks ago, finish second and get a home Prelim, are those not admirable statistics? You can use the Melb,Rich,Carlt side of our draw if you like, but just as with your mob,we were not expected to play finals this year. You have spent much time looking for someone to give the Kangas some credit, but fail to do the same for Port.

I truly believe we are Grand Final bound now.Who ever we play in two weeks time has to play this, and next weekend. We have shown we can deal with the shutdown tactics deployed last night, and I dont think any club would like to play a 'shoot-out' against our side.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

lol, poor Port supporters want a little bit of acknowledgement for coming 2nd whilst not giving any credit to the side on top by miles. Hypocrites and sooks.

PS Don't bother with any acknowledgement for the top side either because we're not as insecure as you poor little puppys.

I would back the Crows in a Prelim against Port, the Crows are one side that have regularly beaten Port and one side Port do not want to meet in a Prelim final

In a shoot out, if Port were to face off against the Cats, I would definitelty back the Cats regardless of the previous result, I do not believe the Cats showed their full hand that day and why would they, the Cats had top spot stiched up

I think the Cats are a great side, and would be deserving winners of the flag.

I just don't agree that they've got it in the bag. There's a lot of footy to be played yet this year and anything can happen in finals.

I tell you not to acknowledge us and what do you do? The opposite to what I ask.

Can you do me a favour and NOT jump off a cliff mate?

Thats crap Wedgie.Friggin' sooks indeed. This debate is one I have directed at Dutchy,it has nothing to do with Geelong! In fact this thread has nothing to do with Geelong, please lets try and keep it on topic.

In the lead up to the match where we beat you,I gave Port little hope, and the Cats much credit.I still think the Cats are the team to beat, but I also think we are,at this point in time, the team that will play Geelong GF day.
