Just had to go talk to the owner about "cost cutting".

He's got it in his head that he can streamline something that costs $13,000 over 5 years, down to $4,000 over 5 years.

Unfortunately, his plan will cost at least $24,000 over 5 years. When I asked him to produce figures, he showed me an email he'd written himself and said "clearly these figures show the savings". My reply was "Well I don't think those figures are right, so that doesn't matter."

Gave him the old "Do what you want. I think you're wrong" and he then patronised me with "You're the one running the company, so I need you to agree to it" before going on to again tell me "the figures are clear".

Couldn't even show me one piece of information. distribution network, even the right item, but claimed the "figures are clear"

In the end I won (for now), but f**k me am I fuming.
