It made the Hay Plain look like an interesting scenic drive.
My Mum came from out there somewhere, stopping to see a derelict farm she grew up on was the highlight.
Never again.
Do it as quickly as possible as the west coast is awesome.

Smokey Bay, Venus Bay and Moonlight Bay are all worth looking/fishing at.

Cheers Brodlach, I’ll check it out. What’s happening currently is massive and I just thought a spread on it might get some views to push the point.

Just spent a week at smoky fishing over christmas. Bagged out on small snapper, got a few nannoguy, queen snapper, crayfish etc. Also caught my first tuna, ended up with our limit of 6 so caught four more for catch and release. That was all before lunch where we had a swim in the lagoon at Franklin island. Finished up getting a dozen whiting on the way back in. :D

And the Perlubie Beach horses races, spectacular.
Used to be able to get fist sized abalone in the rock pools too.

Also used to be some great nights at the Smoky Bay Roos club rooms but I think they merged or gave up many years ago.

An interesting idea...
It had never occurred to me because I have zero interest in horse racing - even though I did as a child get a ride on Comic Court only 2 years after he won the Melbourne Cup. (I did do show dressage training at one time though...)

Anyone here get their kicks from rolling polyhedral dice? I need some advice.

I have an 11yo who is keen to get into Dungeons and Dragons. However the size of the manuals in the starter set (which Santa brought, curse him) is daunting even for an adult. It might be best to learn by observation. Is there a teen-friendly D&D group operating anywhere? Failing that, is there a cut-down version of the rules designed for kids, or some simple exercises to help learn the mechanics of the game?

I have tried the local gaming shop but they weren't much help; they only deal in Warhammer, whatever that is.

A quick search found an "Adelaide D&D" Facebook group, get in there I'd suggest.

The Hospital Home Lottery have listed the same house as the last draw as the major prize.
Did the last winner sell it back to the foundation?

They can still have stops placed on them in case they are lost/stolen.

You can ask for a special clearance but it will cost you around $15.00
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Lots of (separate) mates lately been talking about how they share the cost of Foxtel (ie, 1 account holder rents additional boxes - Boxes then disseminated amongst the group and all pay an equal share of the total monthly bill).

Anyone here have "acquaintances" doing the same? Is it easy enough to get away with? (asking for a friend)
