I feel like that's a poor reason for him surviving.

Better that he's just put out of his misery. Behind the shed, right between the eyes.

Absolutely not. His arm is ramrod straight. If he chucks it so did Thommo and we all know that he didn't.

David Hussey after stumps today on the ABC said that he would bring in Burns to the top of the order, bring in Wade in the middle order and try Finch also in the middle order where he has always batted in his first class career. When pressured as to say who should be dropped he reluctantly said the Marsh brothers. Surely it is time for them both to go.

As for Shaun Marsh getting a dubious decision today, it hardly makes up for the worst DRS review I have ever seen when he was somehow given not out in Adelaide last year when on 29. The DRS said it was going over when everyone thought that it was hitting 3/4 the way up middle. At worst that one should have been umpires call which would have meant he was out. He went on to make a century, which probably saved his test career.

Pat Cummins. Talk about tough. Hung in there when copping the heat. He just hung tough. Bloody hell it's not the job of the number 8 to show the fight.

Furthermore Kerry O'Keefe stated today that Bumrah is technically perfect. Technically perfect bowlers never chuck.

I wouldn't play Finch either other than in front of Shaun Marsh. In the 5 test matches in which Finch has played he has scored 279 runs at 27.9, not great. In the same 5 matches, Shaun Marsh has scored 189 at 18.9. How can he continue to get a game. And that doesn't include Marsh's pathetic tour of South Africa immediately before the Pakistan series.

Surely Wade gets a look in. Bats better than Marsh and Finch, bowls better as well.
You all know he should be our keeper and captain anyway

This kid has the potential to be our best fast bowling allrounder since Keith Miller/Alan Davidson.

I've often wondered ... if the whole ball tampering ordeal never happened and Smith was still captain, who would be wicketkeeper?

Tim Paine fell into the job as captain just because he was in the team at the time when there was no other feasible option.

But with the whole swapping of wicketkeepers that was occurring in the couple of years prior (Nevill, Wade and Paine) where it seemed that batting form was a strong consideration on who the keeper was, I'd suggest that Wade would probably be the keeper today if Smith was still captain, and Paine wouldn't even be in the team.

And if it was Wade's turn on the wicketkeeper merry-go-round back in South Africa, chances are that he would be Australian captain today.

I had been told that Wade's card had been marked never to keep for Australia again. He was one of the poorest keepers Australia has ever had.

His batting has always been better than his keeping.

By the time of the South African tour, Carey had certainly leap frogged him as far as keeping was concerned.

I think it would still be Paine, Nevill not good enough with the bat (I know Paine not that much better) and Wade not good with the gloves which is the most important thing for a keeper. Paine provides decent batting and decent keeping.

Burns
Harris
Khawaja
S.Marsh
Head
Wade
Paine
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Hazelwood

I can't see more than 2 changes by the selectors. I'm not that convinced Wade should get the nod but his numbers are there. We don't need an all rounder because we've had one all along.

The more I think about it the less likely I think it is that they’ll bring Wade in for say M Marsh.. we have too many left hand bats already and get made to look silly to Jadeja & Ashwin, last thing they will do is add another.

Don’t be surprised if it’s an unchanged side.
