If the prophecy is to be believed, Andy Leonard's beard holds mystical powers.
Politicians kissing babies for good luck,
TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.
You don't need no golden cross to tell you wrong from right,
The world's worst murderers were those who saw the light.

I believe it.
He's certainly a big boy, obviously he stole his brothers dinners as a kid because he's 3x the size of Nick
It's not often that players walk out to Gepps Cross Reserve and casually put one of the first balls they face 70m straight down the ground for 6. and make it look so easy doing so.

Think it's mycricket stuffing up - batting and bowling stats all seem to be multiplied by 4 in the season tallys as well.

I always thought that only the team batting 2nd could claim bonus points if they got the runs within 30 (1 point) or 20 overs (2 points).
Quite a few clubs claiming bonus points now for bowling teams out within 20 or 30 overs as well?

You are correct.. only batting 2nd.. some people are just dumb **** - had an argument about it Sat night with our D grade captain coz the space cadet was trying to claim two bonus points.

Yep, that was a rule I brought up at a delegates meeting years back to encourage teams to let the opposition bat first if they were going to get whooped. Fortunately it went through.

When you rock up to a game after 6 wins on the trot, you're playing the bottom team who have 8 blokes there and two of them are wearing a bonds white t-shirt and pants 4 sizes too big, throw in the fact it's 39 degrees and it's a safe assumption that you're going to win, best to wrap it up early and hope the opposition stick out the season.
I've had opposition captains plead to bat first, I play hard ball until I win the toss, I've been on the arse end of the ledger.

Re: PDCA 2016 - 2017
Who is going to coach the association side?
I've heard Super was given the arse because Quinno wasn't happy he went and organised the side on his own and didn't invite any Eyre Royals players..

Super has been appointed many times and pulled out for various reasons, I've had to step in last minute twice, I think the reasoning you've stated will be a load of snot, Scotty would be the only Eyre Royal player under consideration talent-wise but he's hardly set the world on fire this season except for a few runs of late, and doesn't appear to be keeping.

I'm not sure of player availability but Johnny Owen got an invite and was meant to play a few weeks ago.

I don't think any ER players would warrant a spot - in fact doubt many G2 players in general would warrant a spot - Johnny included.
Apparently he should've put an open invitation out to all clubs to see what players were interested - I get the feeling there may be a bit of truth in there somewhere.. although what players would complain - who wants to play Sunday cricket?

Re: PDCA 2016 - 2017
Grade 2 players that I think could potentially warrant a look into, based on stats plus what I've seen:
Freeman (NP)
Bignell (NEK)
Rackebrandt (ENF)
Could probably mount a case for Owen (S), Channa (ENF) and N. Crossley (C)
Bignell & Rackers though would be behind Carman, Warren, McMullen, McIntyre, Woodward and Davies anyway in the fast bowling stakes lol.

If all available.

W.Sewell

B.Dowling

Could lay claims for Robinson instead of Dowling but I think the batting line up is strong enough as it is so he'd be coming in at 10 as he bats slow.
Dowling is the best keeper in the comp and with so many stroke players he could hold up an end, he's as boring as bat shit but gee he values his wicket.

Could probably chuck in Jayden Forrester as another spin option if it doesn't clash with the under 12 SAMCA Cup.
