There's some gold there - When I was doing historian work for PNU, I tried to gather SAFA info and was told at the time that there was no particular history kept and that each club was responsible for their own.

Don't ever get rid of them. Have them donated to the State Library or something when you cark it. ;)

Thats gold FC! The one and only year of the Kingswood FC (formerly National Bank) ripped my ACL off the bone in the last minute of the last game of that season.

Trying to remember why there was only 9 teams that year, some team pulled out really late IIRC, can't remember who though.

Dutchy, I played Div 6 in 1990 and played against SA Institute of Technology (SAIT). I note that they're not in the 1991 Div 6 line up - maybe it was them?

Edit: from the SAAFL website A6 1990
Walkerville (34), Norwood Districts (32), Ovingham (24), State Transport Authority (24), A.N.Z. Bank (14), S.A.Institute of Technology (14), Wingfield Royals (12), Glandore (10), Woodville District (8), Banksia Park O.S. (8).

Not 100% certain but think it was Channel 9. The game of the round was played on Sunday's at Adelaide oval if I recall and televised live. SAFA was a big time league in its prime. Lots of SANFL players starring for local clubs.

Towns used to run a Friday night Disco through the footy season with takings on average around $10k a night. Very cashed up club in the day. Long time ago now but the oldies in the club still talk about it.
