Most clubs are about filling a need - north seem to be trying to fill the lack of a star - no matter who that player is

I think you are probably right about your Gaff gaffe not being inside your top 20 dumbest comments. Mainly through sheer weight of numbers.

If you can name a player on that list, that wouldn't improve any team in the league, then you are a bigger muppet than we already know.

Hannebury is the only one you would now question but not the 2015 version.

I'd be more pissed off if I found out we weren't going after elite players solely because it looks bad to numpty opposition supporters. Despite the fact we end up in the same position as 16 other clubs.

You’ve missed the point entirely.

Of course all of those would improve your list.

But most other clubs identify a need and then go about satisfying that need

Ie lynch to Richmond
Hogan? To freo
Lever to Melb
Gibbs to Adelaide

Etc etc

North have gone fk it we will take anyone, we have the cash. And people clearly haven’t bought into that as they have turned down bigger offers to stay at their own club

So De Goey was going to fix the outside run issues?

If you think our forward line doesn't need improvement then you watch Port too much.

I've not missed your point you just haven't made a valid one. If it was as simple as spending the cash we would just move down the list and be paying someone like Jenkins overs. No list manager would be dumb enough to do that.

With the exception of De Goey and arguably Heeney the rest are all elite mids. So with my limited knowledge of our list management strategy we probably identified that we need to help out Cunnington and Higgins with some more quality.

Heeney and De Goey could also be used through the midfield and would improve our forward line. Mason Wood has all the potential in the world but at the moment hasn't come on so why wouldn't we look to bolster our forward line. It's almost like we are looking to the future and want to improve our list...

Staggering that you are having a go at a club for trying to get the best possible players available each year. If we were spunking our wad at Grundy or Gawn while having Goldy and Pruess on the list you might have an argument. As it stands you don't.

Did we go after Lynch or McGovern this year? Lever, Stringer, Rockliff, Smith last year? No.

Crows supporters having a crack at Norths recruitings pretty funny.

Name all the players that have wanted out of North once they're there. We have to kick them out, ie Boomer, Petrie.

Now name all the Crows players who wanted out....lets start with Dangerfield, Gunston, Davis, McGovern, Cameron, Lever....

And your Captains a f**kin spud of a human.

This post will be more successful in drawing responses than North's free agency recruiting efforts.

On 8 October 2010, David Hale was traded to Hawthorn in exchange for a 1st round draft pick.
