Booney wrote:He cracked the shits about the hamstring that cost him playing in the 2017 GF.
The story is he had "awareness" in the lead up to the win over GWS in the finals last year and then missed the prelim and GF because of it.
His claim that he "isn't happy with the direction of the club" probably stems from Burton / fitness staff keeping their jobs.
Either way, he's leaving for money.
Josh Jenkins has a point. I wish they could tell the truth. This dancing around behind veils of secrecy is worse than the backlash of them telling us. If he came to the media and said 'i took decent hit to draw Bryce to the club and he got much more than did if I went to the Dockers' we would all say fair enough. As it is we are just guessing.
I totally agree with you. It would be much better for all just to come out and say why your leaving.
Why would the players do that, they would only get media attention for a week rather than the whole bloody year!!

NRL players announce once their leaving despite how long left in the season. Be good if AFL players followed suite eventually.
[quote="mighty_tiger_79"]If your Mitch, and he isnt happy with Burton and co, why not leave?? And if the money is same or better its a win-win for him.[/quote Win-win doesn't mean you lose your integrity. Sign a contract in good faith (both parties) then see it out!

I agree in principle unless things change in that time that neither can control. If he’s lost faith and respect in Burton and his team then it makes it hard to stay IMO
