This is always a tough gig, but I think some of the players named have been picked on reputation and again, do we pick players in their positrions or do we picl extra midfielders as HB and HF

O'Keefe is a glaring example, my view is he has had a very disappointing year compared to last year's All Aust form

The Full Back position is an interesting one, stat's alone suggest Rutten has average less goals kick on himself then Glass and Scarlett, I believe it is a good selection with Glass at FB and Rutten at CHB, Scarlett on the IC

Cox and Kerr, I am not convinced his year is as good as his previous, and I would replace these two players with Ottens and Foley, both these players have had career best seasons

I would select Corey Jones in front of Ebert, some would argue that Ebert has kicked five more goals, however I believe Jones has more bows to his game

Not a bad side..

How you can have Lade and Ottens before Cox and Mcintosh has me wondering though, Cox's reputation may be helping him but make no mistake he has been pretty damn good this year and will be in the side, i also think McIntosh will be on the interchange as well.

Rutten will not be picked at CHB, You cant just place the three best full backs in the side because you cant decide which one to pick. I think it has be Glass or Rutten but knowing that the selectors tend to look favourably to dominant sides, i think Scarlett might get the nod.

My Side

FB- Nick Malceski Darren Glass Campbell Brown

HB- Tarkyn Lockyer Chad Cornes Peter Burgoyne

C- Sam Mitchell James Bartel Andrew McLeod

HF- Brent Harvey Matthew Pavlich, Nick Riewoldt

FF- Lance Franklin Jonathon Brown Brett Ebert

R- Dean Cox, Daniel Kerr, Gary Ablett

Inter- Hamish McIntosh, Kane Cornes, Nathan Foley, Jed Adcock

WTF? You bag the inclusion of Lade and Ottens in someones side, then have Chad Cornes at CHB!

At least Lade,Cox,McIntosh and Ottens have played in that spot for most of the year.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

I'm a Crows supporter, and I think McLeod doesn't have the stamina to play wing anymore!

I cheated:

GOODES, Adam (SYD) ABLETT, Gary Jr. (GEE) CORNES, Kane (PTA)

HARVEY, Brent (KAN) BROWN, Jonathan (BRL) DAL SANTO, Nick (STK)

HODGE, Luke (HAW) PAVLICH, Matthew (FRE) KIRK, Brett (SYD)

COREY, Joel (GEE) BARTEL, James (GEE) MCLEOD, Andrew (ADE)

BOWDEN, Joel (RIC) CORNES, Chad (PTA) BURGOYNE, Peter (PTA)

ADCOCK, Jed (BRL) MILBURN, Darren (GEE) SCOTLAND, Heath (CAR)

SHAW, Heath (COL) CARRAZZO, Andrew (CAR) SIMPSON, Adam (KAN) MALCESKI, Nick (SYD)
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

A very good year for full backs. Scarlett, Glass, Rutten, Harris and Firrito have all had good years. I don't care about Kerr missing 5 games - the majority of the other 17 have been fantastic.

Apologies to T.Lockyer (for Hodge), B.Lade (for Cox), R.O'Keefe (for Jones, still thinking twice there), D.Laidley (for Thompson) and any number of Geelong players.

I didnt bag SD's side i clearly pointed out that i do not think that Ottens and Lade were better ruckmen than Cox and McIntosh which i think is a valid point..

I dont see you jumping down the throat of people who have picked Glass or Rutten at CHB when they dont play there to often either.. Keep in mind these players do not need to play in these positions on a week to week basis to be picked there.. Look at Pavlich at FB a few years back, Cousins in the FP when he rarely left the middle. as people have been saying Rutten at CHB. In Chad's case i guess it is another way to fit a dominant midfielder in the side. Whether it be right or wrong i would be happy for him to be named there.

Brown kicket 7 on Scarlett last night

Between Scarlett, Rutten and Glass, Scarlett has had more goals kicked onn him than the other two players

My view, Glass and Rutten are the two best defenders in the game

I can't recall last time the Truck has had 7 kicked on him

Glass was on Lloyd until about the last 5 minutes.. and beat him by the way

Up to three quarter time and then in the last Brett Jones had Lucas. IMO Woosha should have moved Glass onto Lucas early in the last quarter, Hunter to Lloyd and Jones to Neagle but didnt happen.

bah. That's cos he has seven dropping back to help him. Scarlo was one out. Look at the For and Against..there's your best defenders. I could be a gun defender playing for Floodelaide.

FF S Johnson M Pavlich B Johnson

HF N Riewoldt J Brown B Harvey

C K Cornes J Bartel L Hodge

HB D Wojinski M Egan A McLeod

FB N Malceski B Rutten M Scarlett

Foll D Cox G Ablett C Cornes

Int. H McIntosh, D Kerr, J Adcock, J Corey

Brown And C Cornes to lead

If anything D laidley should be coach has done a great job with a team that was picked by most to finish last still highly under rated side.
