Sad, I at least take a modicum of interest in what my world colleagues do outside of here.

Dude at work once said to this chick on a Monday "What did you get up to on the weekend?"
She replied with "I believe that is my own business and I'd like to keep it that way"

He was dumbfounded, it was gold, I used to call him Frank with a silent W.

Every Monday

Accounts Lady - "How was your weekend?"
HH3 - "Yeah, it was ok."

End of conversation.

She always baits us into stories.

Eg. (Backstory) Mike used to work here. He got the sack three years ago so I could take his job.

Accounts lady (out of the blue) - "I wonder what Mikes doing?"
HH3 - "No idea. Havent seen him since he got sacked"

AL - "Maybe he's overseas. He talked about going away"
HH3 - "Maybe. He had a mate in Ohio"

AL - "Nah, I think he'd be in Japan"
HH3 - "Dunno. He's already been there"

AL - ............................ "(insert daughters boyfriends name) is going to Japan."

She set that whole story up to get to that point.

She does it all the time.

I'm sure she's just as interested in Altuve's RBI's on the season.

I know she's not.

That's why I mention it so often.

The worst part, is her story hasn't even begun yet....

So add 15 minutes of her telling me what he's planning on packing, his itinerary, how this trip will effect her daughter, and the extended family....

One of the other ladies told her that her daughter was "precious"....and not in a good way.

That was interesting to watch.

Weirdly enough it was an awesome day. The Hawaiian shirts were short sleeved and breathe a lot better than our normal long sleeve pieces of shit we have to wear.
Took control of the food till and greeted guests today and everyone was really nice.
Then got told I was getting trained up as a manager and got a bit of training in the background finances of a pub.
Added to that my shift finished at 4 so I'm now at the pub drinking at happy hour at another pub!
Damn good week so far after being near death on the weekend with man flu.
Hopefully it continues on to at least my birthday on Sunday when the Roosters are playing!
Working tomorrow night but don't work again till Wednesday night after that.
I'm not OK, I'm ******* excellent! :)

Comtemplating it tomorrow but have banners, bbqs, finals attire, etc to worry about.
If only I was a Port supporter and could plan gardening, fishing, family trips, etc at this time of year. Its always been an October thing for me, I'm almost jealous of Port supporters, its like they get 119 days head start on me every year! 8)
