The story goes that Anthony, not invited to former Collingwood midfielder Paul Licuria's wedding and not especially close to him, was still keen to make his mark.

As Licuria was waiting in Richmond's St Ignatius chapel for fiancee Barbara, Anthony dashed up the aisle in his civvies to wish him luck. Jaws dropped among the 200 assembled guests.

His teammates and Licuria weren't sure whether to just shake their heads and laugh, or be angry at the impetuousness of it.
