They can charge but you're not obliged to pay, it is a public reseverve.

Smithfield have always charged $5 per car for finals.

It was hilarious one year as one car load didn't want to pay so they backed out and parked in the pub carpark, 5 blokes got out and had to carry all the water bottles, footy's, guernsey bag, medical supplies and all the other crap that comes along with it, they struggled big time, dropping shit everywhere along the way, all over $1 each.

We also serve the best burger in the SAAFL and have a wide range of craft beers to choose from. Can't go wrong with that. Even for a finals crowd.

Marion used to get fencing put up just to host SFL finals, god knows what it cost but wouldnt have been cheap and SFL takes all the gate takings, was a full day of 5 games though.
Not quite right
The sfl charged $5000 to the club to host a final. The club got all the money from the gate and bar etc. Was abit of a risk.

Didn't know that, Ive always been told our affiliation fees are the lowest in the state due to the SFL holding the gate takings from finals, $5k is a fair risk but I guess its only 500 adults at $10 which you would be fairly confident of obtaining, One of the finals at Christies last year would have had at least 2,000 I reckon.

Good win by the Lions magoos putting us in 3rd. If it stays that way where will the 2v3 final be played?

Would really depend if TTG C grade earn a 'home' final. Their Div 1 side is playing home that week so not sure where the D7 final would be.

Trev's 100th goal. Could have went back for a set shot for a bit of theatre.
