I think we then need to trade in another mid that either isn't getting a gig in a good second's team or one that needs a fresh start elsewhere. Hannebury or someone like that.
i think if we brought Lukoscious in, we'd have to move Curnow or McKay deep, whilst jettisoning Levi to the VFL permanently.
Our other issue is ruck. We obviously can't rely on Kruezer being a Jacobs and getting 22 games a year from him. Kruezer could be the tall third depending on what we can do something with that position during trade time.
Then another concern is a small forward. Pickett, Garlett and Wright aren't quite up to it IMO. Time may tell but if a Rankine was available you'd obvioulsy look at him.

Will Lukosios be a genuine superstar, or will he be another Sam Durdin? In recent years most of the tall forwards who have dominated at U18's and been high draft picks haven't really set the world on fire - Schache, McCartin, Boyd, Patton etc

Yep, someone like him would be a good addition.
I also think instead of picking a kid with pick 50 odd we need a Fasolo or Lloyd (Rich) to add some small man depth to our forward line immediately. The reasoning is that generally a pick 50 would not be ready to play senior football on a half forward line that deep into the draft.
Priorities - mids, <daylight>...... then small forwards

Yeah fair enough makes sense. Hall is a reasonable player and out of contract. Ellis-Yollman from the crows is another big bodied mid who is out of contract. Might me one worth a look. Would give Cripps a hand at least.gadj1976 wrote:stan wrote:Someone like Aaron Hall to add to your mids?

Hmmm that would be interesting. Keath does look the part down back. But I would have thought Carlton would be looking for a more established player as part of the package if they were to part with pick 1.marbles wrote:Crows to offer pick 8 plus next years first rounder plus alex keath for pick 1

But what you don't want is too many O'Shea and Wright types of players. They are just list cloggers.

How much do the Crows want Lukosius? Which will mean giving up a fair bit. They won’t, so he won’t be there

McGovern and pick 8? Geez crows would jump at that.
