Would Carlton take McGovern or Sloane and pick 15 or whatever for pick 1?

Apologies for the off topic - Lukosius, is he related to the bloke who played for either Torrens/Woodville or the Eagles in the 90's?

Plenty of risk in Rankine IMO. Plenty of talk in Melbourne that he has told a few clubs already that he will walk after his initial 2 years so it might scare a few off. Carlton are a lock to take Lukosius, Silvagni has already stated they won’t be trading pick 1

Agree with both you guys. Carlton will go to the draft with pick 1 and take Lukosious. Him and Curnow gives them something at least to kick at.Booney wrote:Jim05 wrote:Booney wrote:The other thing with this draft is you could foresee Lukosius, Rankine or Walsh going at #1 and there not being much risk in taking one over the other, all look like they're ready to play. Lukosius and Curnow gives them something to kick too. Just need to find someone to kick it to them.
Rankine, well, you take him and back your club and your culture to keep him and if not you do as Adelaide did with Lever and gouge the market for him to come home. No risk for mine.

Lukosious is being touted as a once in a generation player. You just can't pass it up.
As for Rankine well I think a few clubs will take that risk. But if Adelaide can move and shake a bit in the draft then good luck to them.
