Great game at Waldeck on the weekend.
Elizabeth put up a very good fight and almost won the points in miserable conditions for footy on the weekend.
They got to, I think 13 points up, with some against-the-breeze goals. But a barrage of shots from the TOSers in the final 10 minutes saw the home side get up. It was a brave, but ultimately disappointing, loss for the Eags.
Apart from a few sneaky reds in the Pav, the highlight of the day for me was a goal that Elizabeth kicked in the second quarter. The Elizabeth player had a kick on the boundary from 50 that looked like it was going out on the full 10 metres from the goals. The wind swung it across the face of goals and then the wind sent it backwards, allowing Clarkie to mark it five metres from the goal line, direct in front. A useful breeze.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
