Kane Cornes stirring again?
I heard Pembo say t/d that Kane Cornes said Port should give Ollie Wines 2 weeks to sign & if he doesn't then let him go?
Does anyone know anything about what Kane supposedly said is it true or is he just being a smart alec AGAIN/STILL?

Not exactly guys. I heard the broadcast and Cornes said PA should demand an answer from Wines in 2 WEEKS. If he won't comply, then assume he will leave at seasons end, therefore allowing them to make salary cap decisions. Or words to that effect..
If you don’t like my words, don’t listen. If you don’t like my appearance, don’t look. If you don’t like my actions, turn your head; It’s as simple as that.

Cornes makes comments that get people picking up the phone or clicking on headlines.
It's his job, right now he's doing it beautifully.

Kane saying make the decision so Port can plan ahead. The same dickhead that took a spot on Ports list and then pissed off 1/3 of the way through the year to do a job that lasted 6 months.
**** he’s a wanker of the highest order.

Less controversial from Kane, yesterday said he thinks now Robbie Gray is 2nd on the list of greatest ever Power players - Fair call Port fans?
For mine it would be pretty close to the mark.

I'd put Tredrea ahead of Wanganeen for deeds performed in a Power guernsey .. If including performances at other clubs then I'd have Wanganeen on top

Despite what people think of him Kornes is on that list. A 4 Time B&F has him slightly edging out Gray currently

Kane was a solid player but not nearly as good/skilful as Robbie.
Plus Chad was the better sibling of the two

Re: Kane Cornes stirring again?
Kane Cornes is, without doubt one of Port Adelaide most decorated players at AFL level.
2004 Premiership player
2 x All Australian (05/07)
4 x John Cahill Medal (07/08/10/12 - 8 times top 10 IIRC )
300 AFL games
What he isn't though is one of our best at AFL level. My best at AFL level :
Tredrea I think is the stand out and you're splitting hairs with Primus, R.Gray and Wanganeen at the moment for next best. R.Gray will be a clear second by the time he hangs his boots up, if not already. Ollie Wines the only one of the current crop who has the ability to rise to that level IMO.

Yep, play enough games then there's bound to be some good ones.

Re: Kane Cornes stirring again?
What about the player that wore number 8 for Port Adelaide
Played 2002- 2009
Not mentioned in this thread, but does he fit into top 5 that has played at Port Power ?

Fair call mal, fair call.
I think his whole body of work across his career would have him right in that mix, his time at Port Adelaide on it's own, he'd be top 10.
