Well all we had it tough. I used to have to get up out of the shoebox at twelve o'clock at night, and LICK the road clean with me tongue. I had half a handful of freezing cold gravel, worked twenty-four hours a day at the mill for fourpence every six years, and when i got home, me Dad would slice me in two with a bread knife.

But you try and tell the young people today that... and they won't believe ya'.

LUXURY, you were lucky, I wish I had Dad who'd slice me in two with a bread knife......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Yeah yeah, sure Ted

although, i think that was "when I was a boy, I used to walk 10 miles to school each day with a sheep in each pocket because we couldn't afford mittens" - or something like that

It happens to all of us mate, go talk to someone who's generally happy, it digs you out of it.

Tomorrow I'm facing the anniversary of my father's passing, I know already that I'll be a bit all over the place so I'll make sure I'm chatting with the right sort of people at work and not those who I want to see them use my monitor as a neck tie.

Two things that really gave me the shits Sunday in the space of one sentence..

Watching the Port v Sturt game on C7, and little miss 6 walks in... "Oh Port are playing.. but wait that's not the real Port - where is the BLUE?"

So two things:
1) That she didn't didn't understand that the Magpies were/are the traditional PA - THE REAL PORT
2) That the "teal" in the Power is now recognisable "blue"

Well needless to say, she got a stern talking to on the history of PAFC over the course of the following few quarters.

Get out. Go for a run/hike/bike ride. Do something active. Helps a lot.

Dropped my Nice and Natural Peanut and Cashew with milk chocolate nut bar outside and when I went to pick it up I stumbled on absolutely nothing and stepped on it.
