The Bedge wrote:I don't see what the issue is, Houghton B grade showed the makings of a competitive unit last year - they were always going to be a very good side this year. Keetch is pretty much the only "A grader" from last year in that side, and he's bloody 52.
If the gap from D6 to D7 is 10-15 goals, what would be the difference from D6R to D7R?
Just because their B grade are enjoying a strong year, doesn't mean they're doing it deliberately to the detriment of their A grade, they're bloody 4-5 at the turn FFS! Two games off 2nd place! Also let's not forget, Hendo is highly regarded as the Dennis Pagan of reserves footy, some say he's a once in a generation coach, arguably the greatest we have seen.
Just an absolute load of tripe the whole conversation.

Having played every team once, i cant see a team in a's or b's that is unbeatable.
Lonsdale in the As and Hougton in the Bs although undefeated, can definitely see dropping 1 or 2 before the season is done.
Both playing with an older team with alot of experience, an injury or two to the wrong players could leave them vulnerable (especially lonsdale)
Leaving 5-6 teams in the mix.

Only one or two of our competitors would be close to having the depth we have currently.
You’d much rather your A grade winning games than an undefeated B grade.
Clubs are judged on A grade success.
Carey, Since you know Eric and Myself so well you are quite welcome to come up the club and let us know where we are going wrong.
Your also quite welcome to watch us at selection and see how we pick the B grade first and then the left overs play A grade, **** me.
Smokey, your name suits you well as you should lay off the stuff as know one can understand a word you say and yes we know we are playing your C and D grade team as you blokes were not shy on telling us.

IMO at a disadvantage if A's don't make finals, as there will be a number of fringe players ineligible due to games weightingCourtney Fish wrote:footyfan82 wrote:Think we are in for a cracker of a finish to the season

I can't see Houghton losing one in the Magoos. Especially if their A's don't go deep in the finals if they're in at all. I don't think either top 5 will be decided until after the last round.

Jesus tocuhy much? At no stage did i imply the B grade were getting picked before the A grade i was simply making a statment which i stand by. B grade success is great but its all about the A grade.
And as for knowing Eric i wouldnt have a frigging clue who Eric is.
