South v WWT Sat 1410

Post by DOC »

South's last three quarters against North were good. WWT last three quarters against Norwood not so good.

Eagles don't loose too may and not in a row of late.

However, South by a point.

South won’t get so many uncontested passes from WWT.

Eagles by 15-20 points

Panthers going for 3 wins in a row.

I'm tipping us to win, our record at home is tasty.

Weather looks good for Saturday I expect our supporters to outnumber the Eagles.

HT

SA 4.6 v WWT 2.4

Pretty dull game. Young Fitt's second goal from the boundary on half time a rare highlight.

Pretty scrappy half.

Both teams breaking down across half forward

FT
SA 7.8 (50)
WWT 9.10 (64)

Horrible, error ridden game in perfect conditions. 'Modern' defensive footy at it's worst.

A 6 goal to zip 3rd term to WWT the difference.

Yep, Souths first five set shots at goal from no more than 40 all behinds.

Looks like two possible broken collarbones for us, Rose and Whittlesea.

Petrenko did his knee in the reserves.

First half was a poor display by both sides, Eagles especially and South should have been further in front. Won contested ball and played quick, direct footy in the third and composed footy in the last to seal the game. South had a good crack but will struggle to score goals against the better sides. Jackson Lee deserved his spot on that display and offers more versatility and skill than Firns. Backline was very good esp Stewart and Westbrook continues to develop nicely.
