Whoa settle down MC it’s round 2 and last time I checked Premierships arent won in April. Well done to McLaren connections though but I wouldn’t be ruling out Compass too early

Strath 17 - 12
Def
Creek 13 - 8

In Anzac day match under lights at Strath

Observations

* Strath far too good for Creek
* Lights are SHITHOUSE for night footy and unless upgraded there shouldn't be night footy there!
* Umpiring was a joke - Were white hot on HTB. 50m penalties handed out willy nilly. At times players and spectators had NFI what was going on?
* Strath player gets a yellow card on the quarter time siren. Plays the 1st 3 minutes of the 2nd quarter when meant to be off the ground. After Strath were gifted 2 goals via a plethora of Free kicks and 50m penalties it was pointed out to them that the Strath were playing with 18 instead of 17 but they then did nothing about it whilst Strath took it upon themselves to eventually remove him to serve his time.

The Creek should have asked for a head count.....score wiped surely ! Hopefully that doesn't come back to bite them later in the year !!!

Yes they have and they've always drawn criticism from both clubs but i guess the powers to be think that putting up with them once every 2 years is worth it for the significance of the day.

No real shock results in terms of winners BUT some of the MARGINS certainly were

The GSFL have prided itself on being a very even comp the last decade with very few real blowout results
Certainly has to be concerning in regards to the Goolwa/PE and Yank both receiving a Schelacking :(

After a close 1st 3 terms, Mt Compass flexed their muscle with a big last term to ensure they stay in touch for a Top 3 spot.

In a powerful 2nd half performance, Victor surprisingly ran out easy winners over Strath by 65 points which could have been more considering the 36 scoring shots to 16
Where are Strath at?
Hard to line form up
Creeks beat Victor
Strath HAMMER Creeks
Victor HAMMER Strath

Creeks got over E Bay in a cliffhanger at the Creek
Close hard fought contest all match with 13 points the biggest margin all day
Bays kicked 1st 2 goals of last term to go 13 up and looked to have the momentum but Creeks showed some real grit to fight back and kick the last 4 goals to win and keep in touch with the Top 5
