Not sad at all, how many of us get the opportunities he has had, seemingly a nice bloke but I've always sensed a bit of arrogance with him and couldn't give a toss about others, surely he has eeked enough money out of his football appointments to not have to resort to the lowest form of dirty money imaginable, pure greed, I hope they throw the book at him, more importantly, I hope they make him do community service to witness first hand the affects ice has on people, it's a horrible disgusting drug and those at the top of the tree should fall the hardest.
Well said, although he has plenty of $$$ so his motivations here will be interesting to find out, maybe its just a big FU to the world.
He has been in deep with the bikies for many years

Yeah, I recall some conjecture a while back pointing to that direction.
It's piss poor, there aren't many clubs in the AFL that wouldn't have taken him in if he had of approached them for a role in some sort of capacity, he has left role sat his own will, go and earn an honest dollar like the rest of us have to, difference being that we would only collect 10-20% of what he would.

Problem there is he wanted to get away from AFL.

Of course it's sad. Why would anyone think that another human being going through that is anything but? Because he earned good money?
Who said he's addicted? He's a supplier, I have zero sympathy.
We all face choices every day, we can get up and go to work to earn a living or we can break the laws of society and try to fast track the money making system, 95% of us select the "hard" right way, the others run the risk of getting caught, I'm sure he's made a shitload of coin from ruining other people's lives and families.

Drug addiction is a health issue, drug trafficking is not. That's why people don't have sympathy for him, using drugs is one thing, selling them is another.

And working it health I find it very hard to reconcile that drug addiction is a health issue otherwise all persons with anxiety related disorders would be drug addicts.
Yes addiction disorders are on the anxiety related spectrum but some addictions do come from an intrinsic decision to partake in an activity because they have the means, motivation and opportunity to do so. That motivation is not necessarily health related.
And my documented thoughts on Drug traffickers, read my thoughts on those Bottom dwelling cesspit swilling C***s who got off easily compared to their anonymous victims, Chan and Sukumaran
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
In Thompson's case I have some sympathy for him as, IMHO, it would appear as though the actions of others have driven him into the mental state that he now finds himself in. Nobody told him to take drugs, but I think goings on that were initiated by other parties have contributed to his down fall.

I’m sure Essendon’s saga hasn’t helped but not sure you can pin it all on us as he was associating with the bikies long before coming to us. He had been through 2 divorces aswell and was rumoured to be using/dealing for many years. Many people close to him are amazed it’s taken this long for the law to catch up with him

No coz he’s a dickhead who has made poor choices. Plenty of people go through divorces or lose their jobs but they don’t revert to using and supplying drugs to others.
If true he’s made some really poor choices and should pay for them.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Are you implying that Chan and Sukamaran got off easily, despite paying for their mistakes with their lives?
