Williams is dumb like a fox, if AFL players and coaches are silly enough to take notice of and use comments like the ones he made, then that would only say to me they lack professionalism and focus.

If I was a cats fan I would be hoping they would lose before the finals, especially with their piss poor finals success.

What crap. No wonder you are overloaded.

I wonder if you had any idea that this comment would eventually make you look like a complete d**khead

With that bull5hit post you've just confirmed when it comes to being a dickhead that you are top of the class. Hmm, top of the class - I'm tipping that it's a first for you ay numbnuts. Run along.

Well Geelong almost stole this game and it would have been daylight robbery because Port were the best side for the majority of this match. Port have earnt second spot unless they cough up next weekend's match against Freo, which I would think would be unlikely. Port have come a long way in a short period of time but now that Geelong's winning streak is over perhaps people might stop and think that maybe we have as well.

Mr Boon is cock a hoop and rightly so. However, I'd like to gently remind my friend that Bomber showed Choco absolutely nothing today. Henry Playfair FFS. LMAO. The games we have lost this year we've had guys you won't see in September like Gardiner, Playfair and (sadly) King. We learnt plenty about our side today. One thing we learnt about Port is that you have to get goal-side of S Burgoyne at the stoppages in the defensive 50 - thanks for that one Choco, I would hate to see the Power get a couple of cheap goals like that in a final. We payed no respect to the Cornes boys today and whenever you do that they burn you. That is a surprise to no one in AFL football. Watch the AAMI Stadium match and you'll see that Cornes and Cornes had a lot more company than they did today.

I disagree that this is the 'loss we had to have' as I don't believe there is such a thing as a 'good loss'. However a loss at this stage of the season gives us a chance to have a look at some of things that went wrong today. Our disposal under pressure was very poor today and it wasn't just the David Johnsons and James Kellys doing it. Even Egan and Scarlo coughed up some bad ones today and I'm not sure about Scarlo on Westoff either. I think Bomber may move things around a bit when we next meet the Power...like putting Scarlett on to Ebert like he did at AAMI Stadium.

Just a few more comments about the game. The weather really baked both sides but it was Port who looked to have run out of juice before Geelong, at least that is the way I saw it. The umpiring was as bad as we've come to expect this year. The maggots have absolutely no idea and they are confusing and angering players and fans alike. What ever balls these schoolgirls ever had have been ripped away by the rules committee.

Maybe we can play the underdog card for the Brisbane game LOL. Well done Port, too good.

No matter how you dress it up REB, Geelong are now demonstrably not unbeatable. Long-term Geelong fans must see their old nightmare on the horizon, and be a little anxious. I do expect Geelong will probably win the flag, but they do still have time to shoot themselves in the foot.

I haven't given up on "Showdown at the 'G" yet!

I'm a long time Geelong supporter and am not even slightly anxious, I'm less anxious now than I was last week.

REB, in an earlier post you stated that Port had wrapped up second spot unless they 'cough it up' against Freo. I also said a similar thing. On reflection though, I have to correct us. All it would take for Port to lose second spot is for West Coast to beat Essendon by about two goals more than Port beat Freo (assuming both West Coast and Port win). Tonight Sheeds stated that he is not taking his strongest side to Perth next week. I have a feeling that West Coast will now secure second spot.

I said 'best of the rest',you said 'pfft',I base my comment on the fact we have beaten Hawthorn and Geelong in the last two weeks.Who do you consider to be the 'best of the rest' then? WCE? Not far away, but the last time we played them it was 70 points in our favour.Yes they had no Judd,Embley,Cousins. Now they have a half fit Judd,no Kerr,no Embley.I dont fear them at all.

*Footnote-I know we stole them both, but hey,we got the 4 points in both games*

Come on Powwwaaaa!!!!
Cracking result showing a lot of class and character.
I remain 100% confident that Port can win the flag this year. It's on like Donkey Kong.
Fingers crossed for Wakes. A premiership medallion around his neck would be a fitting way for him to go out.
