Good on you Brodders for going the early tips. Be interesting to know what those 8 would return in a multi.

Me, my son, a mate of mine and his son are going to R1. We've booked accom near the MCG and are driving over. It's expensive as the Formula 1's is on the same weekend.

We're going to the Carlton game on the Thursday night and the Crows game on the Friday night. I don't expect a win but I can't wait to get to the game and experience the atmosphere.

Honestly, how much of a kick in the guts is it to GWS and Gold Coast supporters to have their opening match at home but not at their actual home?

Gold Coast's first 11 are away due to the commonwealth games. Up against this year even more.

Oh yeah, they were all talking about that when I was up there last week, they are excluding lanes and lowering speed limits on the M1 from regular drivers so competitors aren't late for their events.

You should beat the Eagles. Too much firepower in the midfield

You can more or less guarantee one team (take your pick) will get out to a 5 goal lead, only for the other team to finish all over the top of them and win by a couple of points. Seems to be the way in Hawks v Pies games of late.
