$135 each?
Yes
Pretty good going there. I had checked their amounts on their web page and wondered if that was each, would be handy doing some lower grade games alone.
The fee for two umpires applies to each umpire - one team pays one umpire and the other team pays the other umpire. The fee for one umpire is split 50:50 across both teams. So B1 teams have to pay a single umpire $160, $80 from each team ...... and for that, they get David Steinway! Sometimes your better off umpiring your own games and sharing 4 cartons after a days play.

The PDCA have had their share of game ruiners over time.
Trevor Wiegand was right up there, just like his footy umpiring.
We had him one game and I wrote a 2 page essay on how useless and petty he was and how I would never want him again, we got him the next match and he was no different so I wrote a glowing report..................................didn't have him for about two years after that.

8/73 chasing 142
They will win outright.
Not at 42 degrees they wont.
Friday's forecast has been revised down from 40 to 38. If Saturday's drops 1 degree, we will play, but still no second innings.
Will be a test of the bylaws. 60-odd runs required, or 2 wickets. Could see 24 blokes rocking up to a game only for a couple of quick wickets and everyone being sent home by 1:15!
As we predicted Wednesday morning!!! Umps will be loving this!!!
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!
The interesting ones for mine are Grange vs Payneham in A1 and B1.
In both games Payneham were bowled out for approx 95, and Grange are roughly 4/110.
With the no second innings rule, Grange is forced to now try and bat the day to maximise points, rather than chase an outright. In some ways, it will mean the Payneham lads spend longer in the field than they otherwise would have had to without the heat policy.

Flinders Park, win the toss and bowl first and then lose by over 300 runs to WS?? Geeezz. Couple of interesting results in A2. IF get done for first time this summer and Brighton struggle to close out. Top 4 set in A2??

I think Woody South and Marion are the only chances to make the 4. They both need to win their last 3 games and that won't be easy. Brighton made 137 and had Fulham 9 for 80 before the last wicket added 62. Brighton play Unley (4th), Heccies (10th) and Scotch (2nd) in the last 3 games. Could they possibly get relegated two years in a row and drop to A3? Might come down to their game against Heccies.

SPOC made 126 and then bowled nearly 20 wides. Marion only lost 2 wickets in the run chase, but still fell short!
Good game. Brennan at the top of the order was the difference. Dropped on 30 odd A ball called a 4 which was 6 towards the end and a 5 ball over in the Marion Batting innings, Needed 2 off the last 4 balls and all played and missed.
