Hoa Tam Restaurant
It's located next to Chicken Chef at Gilles Plains, and it's fast become my favourite take away place.

Specialise in Vietnamese and Thai cuisine.

Super friendly, polite and accommodating staff, quiet, well lit dining room with soft relaxation music playing sets the tone and provides comfort - I always feel welcome and special when I go there.

Well priced, quality food, always fresh ingredients - yet to have a dish that I haven't enjoyed!

Dine in and take away available, I was going to post some of my fav dishes but I have so many and as mentioned haven't had a bad one yet - just lurk FB and have a suss of their menu, good range of options.

I would find it bloody tough to get out the car in that vacinity and not grab a massive bag of Chicken Chef chips, easily the best i have ever had.
11/10
And while we are on it, if you look them up online it says there is a store in Evanston on the Adelaide Rd. Does anyone know if it was ever there cos im pretty sure its not now or is it still coming?

There was one at Woodville which became Chickens Plus yonks ago .. Up until recently they still sold the same old chips and I'd tell anyone and everyone they were the best going around. Devastated a few months back when the missus brought back a bag and they were the standard fat chips most places sell - even messaged them a WTF on FB about it

Good old Chicken Chef -
Many a weekend in the bach pad days involved the half-chicken/chips/salad pack before heading out on the town... and then scoffing the leftovers the next morning. Those chips were so good you could eat them cold.

Went to Donato Caretti's birthday celebration at San Giorgio de Molara club Payneham recently, Great 4 course meal. The only coffee offered was Ristretto. We also tried 2KW with friends soon after and found the food good and the menu less expensive than I'd expected - but the wine was not cheap.

Drinks at the 2KW are crazily priced full stop, great place though.

The Vic

Jug of coke
Onion rings - entree with aioli....absolutely superb

Chicken parmi - good pub standard
Porterhouse steak - medium rare...cooked perfectly

$56 with Ent book voucher

Service was good and food came out quite promptly.

A much better experience than last.

During the entree....i had to ask the Mrs where we were??? Those Onion rings were very good.

Overall a solid 8/10. Will be back in future to go through the steak menu.

Tower Hotel

I have been here for 1 hour and 8 minutes. Took 15 minutes to be seated despite the dining area being well under half full and us having a couple of hungry kids in tow

I still don't have my f@cken food. Shit house customer service. Even if the food is good we will never ever be back.

After that wait id be questioning the staff when they get to the table about the lengthy delay.

yep, always forget the Vic despite it being the closest pub to us, always pretty happy with the meals there, they have a cheap steak deal at lunches also.

Had a bad experience last time. Was really hot. They put us against the windows and no air con..... so the experience was a forgetful one.

But im glad they came up with the goods tonight. Especially now the Cove is banned its good there is still a local choice down south.

It's arrived, it's here. I'm so hungry I could eat the furniture.

Prior to posting on here to vent I had asked them to follow up why my family was still waiting. A new staff member came to take our order again to "check it's progress". My Pigs Ass Meter went haywire and I called Bullshit and went and saw the manager.

Ultimately 90 minutes after arrival my schnitzel arrived, that's right a schnitzel. I ordered Porterhouse and got chicken but by the this time my body was weak from hunger so I didn't point out the error as the manager had also said the meals would be on the house for the inconvenience.

The food was actually pretty good and they certainly made up for their **** ups by making the meals FOC. It wouldn't make the highly recommended list though it's fair to say.

Cockney owners provided brilliant customer service
