yeah not sure, has to be a problem there some where, A grade clubs better lock up their B graders. they will need to get players from some where to cover the 11 outs so far. Ramco could also be in the same boat, seems all Adelaide players are departing
Think the Lyrup problem may be due to the coaching appointment
I think you will find they have already attempted to raid a few B grade teams & haven't been to successful at this stage

FB tells me he has a few across - Nathan Gregory, Dom Portolesi and Zack Frahn.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

They'll need to open it up a fair bit more if they want to get close to Waikerie on Grand Final Day or even make the Grand Final for that matter. That's a hell of a lot of money being spent just to make top 4.
So you've seen everything have you? Yep Have you ever seen a man eat his own head? No Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Correct re Renmark. Paying a lot of $$ for the fight for 2nd. They have been the most underachieving club since 2008 so will be interesting to see if they can make a GF next season. On a side note - Berri looking quite good and have had a very handy spring with the players returning and those they have picked up. Will be looking to play finals in 2018 i would say & build on from there. Club looks to be in a much better state as well.
Renmark will be big improvers with the additions of Vater, Obst & another Woolford, the midfield will be surely be able to match Waikerie. what players are returning to Berri Bertie ?

Since 2008 is quite funny. they won a flag the following year. 2010 and I could understand but 2008? Good to see people living in a town playing for that town in Vater and Obst. Just like Min at Barmera and Yeomans at Loxton when they moved up. Big believer in playing where you live for country football

Should you get paid the big $$$$ to play in the town you live though CK?
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

A league administration that enforces the salary cap?
reallocation/reduction of player points might be the only answer?
Pointless when the back2back premiers have only been using 3-4 points, less than any team in the comp.
Just makes it harder for everyone else to catch up haha
I don't actually see an issue with our current system at all, works fine. Every club has had their chance at a top 2 spot in the last 5 years, even Berri & Loxton. Recruits only get you so far, it's a local core that needs to be the base of any strong football club.

agree so give them 0 points and see how well the local core goes...
So the answer would be to allocate more points to the lower sides so they can spend more money on non local players to attempt to get a quick fix
Or
Invest time and effort (money) into developing juniors into senior footballers building a good culture within your football club and build for the long term.
Looking at the clearances coming into the league that the lower finishing teams from last year are going to be maxed out with points in 2018 eg Berri and Renmark and the higher teams in Loxton Nth and Waikerie are already using very few points and are consistently up the top.
