Love Chokos effort to get on the front foot after the Hawks game..

'We were top for three years but you never know what is going to happen in finals'
'Who knows what is going through the Geelong player's heads about now'
'Cameron Mooney is one hit away from being reported'

Nice work. 8)

Just when they had a chance to sneak up on Geelong, he does that and fires them up....Memo to Chocko: you may have been top but you didnt win 15 in a row or be as impressive as Geelong

I think he is referring to the pain we still endure of 02 and 03,when a season of much promise can turn to nothing in a flash. To relate that to the current Geelong team is not too far fetched at all.Mind you,I agree,we dont need to give them any extra reason to belt us this week.

Geeleong will smash Port

Power does not have the defence to hold the Cats, and I cannot understand why Williams is baiting the Cats, this will provide the Cats added motivation

If Port wins Williams is a genius.
If Port lose Williams is a complete fool.

Keep the faith Booney. It aint over till the fat lady sings.

The Cats' finals record speaks for itself (How's that - a Port fan sledging another sides finals record!!  ).

And forgetting what happened last time, we have a reasonable record against the Pussies.

I'm not so fussed about winning this game (although it does play a monster part in our finals path), but I have no doubt we are capable of beating them on the G when it really counts.

In actual fact DA i would think this is a massive game for Port.

If they win the last 2 they will finish 2nd and quite possibly get the Eagles at AAMI. If not it might be the opposite with a final at Subiaco which would be the last thing Port would want.

I agree it's a massive game Pup, as stated in my post. I just won't be that fussed if we do lose beacuse it's all about winning finals.

Subi is a tough gig, but Port has a good record there, and the Eagles have proved they aren't invincible there.

Yep. A young team losing to the Lions by nine points in 2004 and losing by about one second against the eventual premiers on their own deck without Gary Ablett Jnr and any ruckmen whatsoever in that game. In the meantime we have won two finals out of five..ok, not brilliant but not bottom of the barrell stuff either.

And forgetting what happened last time, we have a reasonable record against the Pussies.

You haven't beaten us at home or away since your premiership year.

I'm not so fussed about winning this game (although it does play a monster part in our finals path), but I have no doubt we are capable of beating them on the G when it really

Isn't that the ground where you had that impressive four point win over powerhouse Melbourne. Thanks for the belly laugh.

I'm tempted to pick the Power. Geelong are bound to slip up sooner or later.

Williams is dumb like a fox, if AFL players and coaches are silly enough to take notice of and use comments like the ones he made, then that would only say to me they lack professionalism and focus.

If I was a cats fan I would be hoping they would lose before the finals, especially with their piss poor finals success.

1980TM

That's not as bad as the Melbourne suburban side who handed out free premiers T-shirts to supporters and officials at half time in a GF in the early 90s when they were five goals up ... yes ... they lost by five goals and made the T-shirt wearers (and the club) look pretty stupid!

It's nice to dream.

Geelongs record on GF day will still surely hang around like a fart in an elevator. IF they get there.

Don't get me wrong, I rate the Cats very highly, and if Port doesn't get there, they're the team I'd most like to see win it.

overloaded, As for the Cats wanting to lose before the finals....why would they want to lose? I'd rather go in knowing I've beaten everyone. And challenging teams coming up against a side that's won its last 20-odd has to be a pretty daunting task.

Cats have already started resting players in the leadup to the important games in 2 weeks time.
Selwood and Kingy having a rest this week, would expect a heap more.
If Port and Brisbane don't beat them in the next 2 weeks then Port or Brisbane needn't rock up to the finals as they'll be a complete waste of space.
