Looking at the policy rules 4, 6 and 8(b) totally contradict each other...

NEK should make the 4 regardless of this setback anyway I imagine.

ATCO and Craigmore are off the pace, Adelaide Warriors seem to be struggling and Smithfield/Angle Vale depends on who shows up on the day.

Would think by the end of the minor rounds, NEK will be sitting below EP and Units.

4. No player may be named/play in more than one match during the same round/day within the Association and/or any other competition unless the matches are in different divisions (i.e. seniors, juniors or women) or that any scheduled play, or play does not occur concurrently. So can't front for club A Saturday afternoon, then take off and play for club B the same day or if a Sunday game is scheduled. Example will be this season - Enfield 'A' have round 10 scheduled on a Sunday, so other members of Enfield can NOT play on Saturday in Rd 10 e.g B grade and then front Sunday. Likewise cant play one week for a side and the next week for another if they're the same round e.g. Rd 1. Juniors is a different "division" so that is exempt from this rule.

6. In the event of the PDCA program getting out of line with the SACA program, a player selected in a SACA team part way through a PDCA match may be replaced by another player with full playing rights. The selected player to play in the balance of the PDCA match must be of a similar type to the one they are replacing, i.e. batsman, bowler, wicket keeper, etc., and selection must be approved by the Permit Committee. Key points here are PDCA not being aligned to the SACA program, and a playing being selected in SACA competitions in unforeseen circumstances. Same rule is found in all comps. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

8b. (8) Dual registrations can be between:
(i) PDCA club and SACA club:
(a) the player must have not been named in any other match which would have been played or partly played concurrently. Pretty straight forward, just a summarised version of rule 4.
(b) the player MUST be available and present for the entirety of the match they wish to participate in with the PDCA. The exception being of course if the PDCA programming does not align with the SACA program. Refer point 6.

Where is the contradiction? Perhaps 6 and 8 are a little ambiguous, but depends how you read it I guess.

SACA is a different kettle of fish.

You can't skip between community leagues like you can between community and SACA comps, it's like getting a call up to play league footy or being dropped back to you grassroots club.

A young lad would probably get away with it as long as there is a prior application made.

Think you’re beginning to blur the lines here.. It’s not like Tyler has been exclusively playing jnrs at one club and then seniors at another, he was playing senior cricket last year at his primary club (IFDCC).

Harsh reality is, no matter how you look at it or twist it, both Baldings had no right playing in Rd 1 for NEK.

Juniors are exempt, they can float between associations no problems, all good IMO.

Plead the case to the PDCA Exec, play dumb and they may let it slip this time, it was your first week in a new comp and they are generally understanding if you're not a continual pain in the arse following rules.

That was one game I was a bit unsure about too - Craigmore are flying at the moment, while i'm not sure Westies have truly got out of 2nd gear despite an easy win last round.

Confidence and form is with the Blues.

Being at Londonderry Avenue was the only thing that swayed me, weird oval to play on when you don't play there much, bigger than it appears.
