Ha, the dude is dreaming anyway, I just that there are 6 cartons available at $50 a pop LOL.

Yeah, the window has closed again.

A slab of West End cost almost $50 anyway.
No value added there for the print.

Yeah, only difference is that it can't be drinked now.

I bought a carton at the same time and still have it, not sure whether it's worth holding on to and then the wife and I were having a debate on whether it would decrease or increase in value should Port win another flag?

I've still got an empty 5L West End keg from Showdown I or II in '97 and a non-Showdown unopened one from 2001. Just never been game enough to drink it.

In my mind he's competing with Wines, Ebert and Boak and I have all three ahead of him tbh.

Rockliff comes in, Wingard goes forward, Neade goes out.

From the elimination final side :

Neade out, Boak from mid>HF, Rockliff to mid.

B Jasper Pittard, Tom Clurey, Riley Bonner
HB Darcy Byrne-Jones, Dougal Howard, Hamish Hartlett
C Justin Westhoff, Ollie Wines, Jared Polec
HF Travis Boak, Todd Marshall, Robbie Gray
F Sam Gray, Charlie Dixon, Chad Wingard
FOL Paddy Ryder, Brad Ebert, Tom Rockliff
I/C Sam Powell-Pepper, Karl Amon, Jarman Impey, Dan Houston

If, as I expect, Motlop comes on board today, Sam Gray to bench, Amon out, Motlop in the pocket.

B Jasper Pittard, Tom Clurey, Riley Bonner
HB Darcy Byrne-Jones, Dougal Howard, Hamish Hartlett
C Justin Westhoff, Ollie Wines, Jared Polec
HF Travis Boak, Todd Marshall, Robbie Gray
F Steve Motlop, Charlie Dixon, Chad Wingard
FOL Paddy Ryder, Brad Ebert, Tom Rockliff
I/C Sam Powell-Pepper, Sam Gray, Jarman Impey, Dan Houston

Who lays a tackle in that forward line, I would have a bet with any of you that Dixon would average the most forward 50 tackles out of that lot and its not his job, You would want to score because the opposition are going to scorer easy going back the other way especially with no pace in the mids to get the ball back

Brisbane match Port's offer for Rockliff and that forces PA to trade.

Ah Chee and Young guaranteed spots on list if trade fall thru

Like anything mate, it's worth what someone is prepared to pay. I agree though, not many in the competition should be up around that coin.

Thats why I asked the question yesterday about Martin wanting to move back to Vic .. Pretty sure it was mentioned a couple of times this year (not long ago actually, maybe a month or two)

You gotta be A+ to be paid that.

What will Gray , Ebert, Boak and co. think about paying him that much?

If Lobbe's on say $500k per season and the Lions take him, the net result (in the first year of contract at least), is a cost to Port of $400k. Perfect way for both Port and Brisbane to use the system to their advantage,

How’s that work?
Brisbane ain’t taking Lobbe and is 500k contract surely?
You saying possibly Port pay 650k for Rockliff and 250k of Lobbe’s current contract next year?

There has been some talk that Brisbane want the better picks attached with Rockliff going at a higher price (after they match, and Rocky chooses Port).

As they have shown some degree of interest in Lobbe, they can achieve their goal by taking him and his contract. Works for Port because they pay more for Rocky but the extra would still be less than Lobbe would cost them.

Probably evens out because I think Lobbe only has 1 year left to run on his Port contract, whereas they'll pay Rocky for multiple years
