Amazing how on the back of just 1 loss after being the best team all year that Crows supporters are bagging so many of their players for not being up to it and need to get rid of half the team.

Great post. The finals series was the most boring one ever. Not one decent game to watch.

The whole season was like this imo, mainly due to the middle tier sides (stk ess melb wce port footscray) who played well one week but were mediocre the next and very few epic, desperate games among them as though they didn't really care about the opportunity to finish top 4 when the opening was there, the wce/melb game excepted.

I wanted Adelaide to win because i thought they were the only decent side and Richmond just the best of the bad bunch referred to, but i was wrong and hats off to Richmond, can't do any more than comprehensively beat the three sides in front of you.

I called that yesterday. The MCG didn't stop Brisbane, Sydney or West Coast lifting the cup.

Or Geelong

Or Adelaide or Port

Yes joke to even consider it.
However the AFL need to decree the first week's finals are held at the ground of choice of the higher club, not just for Geelong but for the Ethiad tenants too and Sydney if they hadn't got out of their ANZ agreement.

On a serious note I thought it was Richmonds more mature Superstars Martin, Cotchin, Riewoldt, Rance who were the difference compared to a Crows side that has by premiership winning standards very few out and out A graders.

It was obvious which side had the genuine top 20 picks in it.

While the Crows were runners up I actually think there a bit off winning the premiership. There potentially losing Cameron and Lever, Betts isn't going to get any better, Josh Jenkins is a spud and their stuck with his large contract, and history says you simply don't win a premiership without at least a couple of top 10 draft picks

Last few premiership teams / top 10 draft picks

Richmond- 3 (Martin, Cotchin, Ellis)
Bulldogs- 3 (Bontempelli, Stringer, Macrae)
Hawthorn 2015- 3 (plus another 4 top 20) (Hodge, Lewis, Roughead)
Hawthorn 2014- 3 (same 3)
Hawthorn 2013- 4 (same 3 plus Franklin)
Sydney 2012 (didn't bother looking because of COLA)
Geelong 2011- 3 (Selwood, Bartel, Ottens)
Collingwood 2010- 4(Didak, Pendlebury, Thomas, Tarrant)

Even going back to West Coast Eagles 2006 they had Judd, Banfield, Brett Jones as top 10 picks plus Waters at 11

Watching the game yesterday, Adelaide were in panic mode all game.
Some horrible gives to stationary blokes with a Richmond player right there.
Fumbled below the knees, and didn't attack the ball on the bounce.
Just looked frightened of failure and tense when it counted.

Umpiring early was a bit dodgey against the crows, and at important times.
Eddies in particular was a shocker and the crows dropped their heads.

Houli ripped off, feel sorry for anyone who backed him in the norm smith.

The gf should always be at the MCG, unless someone else builds a stadium with 100 000 seats!

Just finished watching the replay I think Dusty was a deserved NS winner. Could of thrown a blanket over him, Houli and Rance but with the year he had I think sentimentally he was always going to get the nod over the other 2
