Cocky???

Just went about our business all year and got the job done when it counted. Looking forward to the challenge of Division 2 in 2018.

Congrats on the gf wins, Definitely a strong proud club who will shake up division 2 no doubt, along with demoted Salisbury north and spoc..., will be a great division again next year!

Some very very stupid people letting off flares yesterday after the game and then tossing them into the school and onto the oval.
Questions will be asked!!!!

Isn't that just over half of the salary cap?

It's funny how $$$ get mentioned with any Premiership. We had 36 out of 44 in the A & B grade on Saturday that have come through our juniors. That's what success is built on - provided the bit of cream you add are the right fit for the club and it's culture. We only had 4 lads in the A grade Premiership team that weren't with the club last year.

This will be the challenge moving forward. As Dutchy knows first hand, the SFL provides a fantastic vehicle for bringing juniors into seniors with the 5 games on a Saturday structure etc. With all AdFL clubs having their juniors play exclusively on a Sunday it can clearly be a challenge in creating the strong connect for the kids to come through. Some clubs do it better than others and probably no surprise that the clubs who do it best are in the top divisions. And the other stronger clubs in Div 3 this year across all senior grades (Flinders Park, Golden Grove and Plympton) all seem to be doing things quite well with the "One Club" approach. We are now fully in the Sunday junior space and will need to continue to work hard to remain the club of choice for our juniors entering senior ranks rather than assuming it will just happen.

The underlying strategy behind it all is essentially Stockholm Syndrome
