12 is too young for "kid" rates IMO.

I planned on going to at least 2 venues on Saturday, maybe trying to squeeze in 3, not at $15 I'm not.

I was only joking ;)

$15 - you can get pass outs to get you into other games still i'm pretty sure.. so essentially it's $15 to visit 2 maybe 3 different venues.

Those little 14 year olds are bloody massive these days (especially to me lol) and they have just hit puberty and well involved in street gangs ready to progress to support their local motorcycle club

Fair call!

Boon, you pay one lot of $15 and can go to as many grounds as you like

So if you end up at 3 games, you're averaging $5 per GF ya tightarse

Modbury v Unley circa 2014 comes immediatley to mind

Now that is a rort.

Hard to fathom the logic that 12 is the cut off. Is it that they are issued student cards in High School and so can produce it?

Correct

But obviously you've never been to the Gold Coast lately where you're slugged adult prices for everything at age 13

Hey! I wont have you speak ill of my beloved home town

Yet it seems to be enough of a problem the league is now being strategical about where it holds GF's, which I agree with but clearly crowd behaviour is seen as a concern by the association

It's probably more about mitigating risk than being a serious concern - especially across all Divs

Two clubs purportedly offered spots in div 7 next year. Money on the two bottom SFL sides
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

I've heard Marion are demanding D5 or they'll stay in the SFL.

D5.

Tell 'em they're dreaming. Why would you want to enter D5 and be beaten weekly again. Poor decision if correct.

They'd be mad to go into anything above D7. Start from the bottom a build a club from scratch.

Let them stay then, and continue to be at the bottom of the pile getting flogged each week in the SFL.

That might be supported by the higher grades.
Div's 1-4 see more teams as a stronger overall league and don't really care what grade they are in.
Div 5 sees it as a good buffer as effectively only 1 side will get relegated next season (along with Marion).
Div 6 & 7 dislikes it as it holds one of them back this season.

Overall, the majority of clubs vote yes, then we could see them offered Div 5.

Marion, div 5? Spare me

Would be grossly unfair for div 6/7 sides to find out after GF that they don't achieve promotion in the case of a loss. I cant see the league putting clubs offside to bring Marion into Div 5.. Would be outrageous.

If Ingle Farm were to lose the div 6 GF (lets hope not), and the league then says only the premier go up, good bloody luck to whoever gets in Old Farmers way, I have been on the receiving end of only the minor side of his wrath and I still then was lucky to come out unscathed!!

big difference between those 2 grades..

we played marion in a trial this year..div 7 would suit them perfectly and from my sources this is where they will be and where they should be barring any ego trips or posturing..reality is they need to get wins..from anywhere..they would get a few floggings in div 6..forget about div 5 thats a dream..

Their concern would be attracting players to such a big club at D7.

It's likely a negotiation - so you'd have to assume they would demand something above and beyond and then whittle their way down.

But. One wouldn't think the exec would be bending over backwards for them. Brighton and Morphy Parks are excellently run football clubs with sound structures and solid foundations for future success. I am sure Marion have good people but its been pretty clear that they've struggled for a myriad of reasons for a long time.

Their admission to the AdFL would be on the AdFL's terms, you'd think.

As for standard - they would've played finals in D7 this year probably. So that's about right.

And, yet again, what a perfect example we would have for the flawed delegate system.
