Any decent bakeries in the inner western suburbs?
I miss the OHalloran Hill bakery, especially their chicken and asparagus pies.

The produce is fine, the service from the people behind the counter is sub par, IMO and in the of my work colleagues who have also black listed it.

I have never been to the one at Torrensville, but frequent both Ridgehaven and Walkerville and have never had a problem with service.

As I said- its a shame that the service is bad, because the product is sensational.

Touched a bit on it last week but mainly got food ideas, does anyone know where the more relaxed clubs are in Surfers, I hear there's some rough spots up there that we wanna try and avoid.

Southport Footy Club is up the other end of the tram line LM (bout 15-20 mins on tram, next to the hospital) but is a massive joint with different bars and restaurants to suit most tastes.

Had to drop my daughter off at Glenelg Oval yesterday morning and thought we'd head to the Bay for Brekky.

I craved a pie, the missus was after a croissant and my brother was keen on a bacon and egg roll.

Third place we went in catered for all of us, a place called "Oasis Deli", handy little spot.

I ordered first and our food came out relatively quick.

I took a couple of bites of my pie and thought it was a bit cold, I got the missus to check and she agreed so I went and asked the owner if he could do something about it as I generally like my pies warm at least.

About 3 minutes later my pie returns, the exact same one with 3 bites out of it and sauce just put on over the original design.

Meanwhile, the croissant was cold in the middle, the cheese wasn't even melted and it was by this time I voiced my opinion loudly and said "Of all places we could've gone to, we come to this f****** sh!thole, the owner came over and offered me a free pie but I was too far gone by then and told him he will never see us again.

He tried explaining to the missus and asking her to tell me to come back in but she let rip too commenting about her croissant, he then tried to get my brother to get us to come back but he politely said how poor the service was and it was in his best interest if we don't return.

I generally eat real healthy, I craved a pie and he killed it, and it was an expensive pie.
