Re: Port Adelaide 2017
So David King reckons Port are a smokey for the flag and are this year's Bulldogs.
First round exit then. Load up.

He most certainly is the kiss of death. Bad luck Port.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?

Re: Port Adelaide 2017
Interesting considering all year he said there were only 3 flag chances and Port wasn't one of them. Hedging his bets

Marshall hasn't gotten much of it thus far but boy you can tell he's clever. Westhoff Mach II but with hopefully better skills on front of the sticks.
and... I hate to say it, actually **** it I love to say it. Having the second tall *forward* has dramatically improved Port. Dramatically.

and the Bulldogs away whilst they were playing for their season before that.
The method and structure over the past two weeks has been much better and a vast improvement over the Crows and Collingwood games in particular but the season as a whole as well. It's undeniable. Regardless of the opposition.

Re: Port Adelaide 2017
Great to see Tom Jonas get recognised in the AA squad. He's been the best defender in one of the better defensive teams all year.
However, thought Dixon was very unlucky. Lead the comp in contested marks. Would've probably had him over Walker - he has a reasonably similar output as Walker in terms of raw numbers, but is vastly superior at the contested stuff. Also plays with less support and an inferior supply.

walker is second in the comp for score assists. you cant compare their contested stuff as they play different roles.

Walker 29 goal assists, Dixon 16.

coincidentally, Walker 27th in the league for contested marks, Dixon 27th in the league for goal assists
As i said in the other thread, they ususally use team success as the tiebreaker. I dont think tex will make it, but you cant say he doesnt deserve to be in the squad

Port won 3 games on the trot for the 1st time for the season with their training drill win over GC
Whoever thinks Port are capable of winning another 4 on the trot against QUALITY opposition which is likely to include 3 away games are seriously living in GaGa land.
Yes it's possible but ..............

They could make a Prelim and from there who knows. Would back them to beat the Eagles and after that the Giants wouldn't hold any fears for them

I think Walker has had a good year, and is underrated (strangely by a lot of Crows fans) but for mine Dixon has been one of the better big men in the comp and would be only behind the true goal kickers in Daniher, Franklin, Kennedy and Brown.

Not "fashionable" enough for Final 22 selection, but his turnaround from 2015-16 has been fantastic.

Also...
Stay tuned for the final SWARM update for the year, where we will find out who the 2017 All Australian ruck ought to be.

Is there going to be some kind of SWARM countdown clock to let us know when the final stats will be revealed? Or do we need to cancel all other plans and just wait here in anticipation?

I've cancelled everything in anticipation of this.....
I couldn't bare the thought of missing it!
