What very strange performances by the Bays in the last 2 games, losing to the bottom sides when only 1 win promised a finals spot. That was like something North would do.

Most of the South fans there were probably Crows AFL fans anyway

Could have been mistaken for thinking the Bledisloe Cup was being contested at Noarlunga during the first half yesterday. A duller half of footy you'll be hard pressed to find with most of the second term spent in the Ravens forward 50 with 36 around the ball. The game opened up after the interval and was a far better spectacle, with the Ravens pushing out to a 4 goal lead on a few occasions before South pulled within 14 points at the final change. The home side kicked the opening 6 goals of the term and looked home before the professionals slammed on 3 quick ones, and had a late Menzel kick from the pocket not struck the woodwork they probably would have claimed victory.

The usual suspects of Liddle, Seccull and Cross were busy in the middle, Davis provided a target while I liked the games of J. Taylor and Haines.

Ultimately not good enough to make finals. Had chances early in the year to bury teams and build % but didn't (v CD and GLG in particular) while diabolical losses to North and West obviously hurt.

Crowd wise, maybe a touch over 1000 but not many more.

Third year in a row % has proven crucial for South

2015- Missed 5th spot by 1%
2016- Missed out on top spot by 1%
2017- Missed 5th spot by 2%

Frustrating.

True. The South supporters near me when the teams were coming off were certainly Crows fans. And some people cant work out why these games are farcical? (yes a topic for another thread)

In perfect conditions for footy [and especially for Noarlunga].

What is with the Crows parking a truck behind their bench?

I have seen that truck most weeks I have called at Noarlunga this season so not Crows specific.

Agreed, one of the two games I went to this year was there and it was there for the North game, I think South put it there to help out the away side, there was a viewing platform in it.

The SANFL website is showing the reserves finals as being played on Saturday. I really hope this is a mistake. Having them play the same time as the league is stupid. That means Sturt and Central have to provide two lots of support staff. This isn't always easy for SANFL clubs. It wouldn't surprise me though the SANFL are f$&king incompetent.

Heard that an opposition club complained about supporter abuse....it's been that way for 20 years not sure why it would be an issue now.

I believe the truck has been there since the Glenelg game early on due to a situation involving the Glenelg coaching staff and timekeepers.

OK, thought the truck was Crows specific.

Thanks again to the SAFC for yesterday, really enjoyed the opportunity.

Don't worry mate, you'll beat Westies. When have they ever broke your heart before?
