Re: Port Adelaide 2017
Very surprising. Would say Dougal will stay in defence then and Hombsch still isn't right.

Re: Port Adelaide 2017
Strange decision when it is going to be cold and rainy. Be freezing in Ballarat Dixon maybe in doubt?

Would have debuted him against the Suns.

Re: Port Adelaide 2017
What now for Trengove?
With Marshall and Howard both playing does it spell the end for Trengove?
Marshall looks like a natural forward and as he builds his body strength he'll be a good player at AFL level.

Re: Port Adelaide 2017
Trengrove would be mad not to take reportedly higher free agent offers in Victoria now. Port clearly don't want him and have turned him from a walk up starting key position backman into a lost footballer without an identity.

I see you're taking 2016 into account where he filled in as a lead ruckman, meanwhile as he's up the ground trying his guts out younger players established themselves in the back half.
Good call.

Re: Port Adelaide 2017
I don't think dropped for one game maybe 2 means Port "clearly don't want him'. That's being a bit over the top

Coming into the pointy end of the season and playing younger players in front of him.....I'd be worried if I was him.
He'd be CHB if I was coach.

Re: Port Adelaide 2017
I absolutely effing love it, but it is hilarious that we *finally* play a second tall up forward the week we go to a freezing cold and likely wet Ballarat vs another midget brigade in the Bulldogs.Booney wrote:In - Marshall, Powell-Pepper

Actually I'm talking about 2017. I understand 2016 and he did quite well in that role. So...

Re: Port Adelaide 2017
I agree. We're about to play finals, he's not best 22 and is out of contract. Ridiculous to assume that questions on both sides wouldn't be raised.amber_fluid wrote:Brodlach wrote:I don't think dropped for one game maybe 2 means Port "clearly don't want him'. That's being a bit over the top

Seemingly another victim of Ken's stubbornness. He won a best and fairest at Centre Half Back as a young up and coming star so we ... play him forward? OK fine, maybe for a trial game or two or maybe even a real game for a look. But for nearly a whole season when it clearly wasn't working?!?
Jackson has every right to be thinking about his options. As do Port.

Finally a Power supporter who calls it as he sees it.
He's not in the best 22 currently so he would be doing himself and his family a disservice if he wasn't looking at other options.
A couple of Melbourne teams would like a 28 year old CHB I'm sure.

Maybe they're giving him a rest before finals?

Re: Port Adelaide 2017
Then it would say "rested" not "omitted". All of the coaches have said it was due to a drop in form.
